This was an expensive disappointment. The shrimp and grits dish wasn't seasoned, the biscuit wasn't great - it was dry. The food took a while even though it wasn't crowded. The positives I can say: The bacon was delicious. The environment was nice. The service was decent. I will not be returning.

A fabulous breakfast, lunch and brunch spot with a cozy vibe and friendly smiles, prompt service, and attention to detail. From fluffy pancakes to hearty omelets, their breakfast menu is a delight. Whether you crave classic comfort or innovative twists, a sweet or savory lover, they've got you covered. Ah, brunch--the magical meal that bridges breakfast and lunch. Blackberry Bistro's brunch menu is a celebration of flavors. Try their signature dishes, and soak in the cozy ambiance. Their lunch offerings are equally impressive. (Kaz - Feb. 2024)

Service was excellent. I was the only one in there (should have been a sign). I ordered the Chai latte, which came in a small bowl and was very good! The food portions were just right. Ordered the down south which came with runny, cold undercooked grits, country fried potatoes, which were OK two slices of bacon, which was OK a small, cold biscuit which did not taste good and eggs. I ordered a orange juice to try to make it taste better did not help because the orange juice tasted old and like they try to add carbonation to take away from it being old. The two stars are for the service.

Great location and service. The food not so much. I came for breakfast and it was not good.

An absolute gem of a diner. Parking is the only real problem but it's a worthy battle. The Crepe Suzette is sublime if you're looking for a sweet tooth fix.The Eggs Benedict stands out because of the wonderfully fluffy house made biscuit. One of the better Benedicts that I've had.Parking: There's paid parking out front but very few spaces. You may have to dip down the residential side streets to find a free spot and enjoy a brief walk.

Hello! This place DOES have coffee, and it’s delicious. And the chai latte is divine. It’s family owned and operated, and the entire staff is so warm and kind. Food made from scratch and large portions! I love this place.

This restaurant is a local institution and has been a feature of the Glenview District for years. The breakfast menu is extensive and everything from healthy food to extravagant comfort food is available. The help is super efficient and friendly. Worth the trip…

Had the Ethiopian breakfast at this place several months ago (which I don't see on the menu anymore) and came back recently for the full Ethiopian dinner and it was amazing. The injira bread was like nothing I have ever tasted, delicious. The servings were huge and made for several more meals at home. Sadly we were the only ones eating there that night, this place deserves much more attention. I'm wondering if the dining area from the restaurant next door that pushes out into the street is blocking the view of Blackberry Bistro as people approach. Highly recommended on the nights they have the Ethiopian/Eritrean dinner menu.

Very impressed. Nothing but great things to say about Blackberry Bistro. My family and I were on vacation and came across this establishment on Yelp. We decided to give a try and we were glad we did. From top to bottom. Customer service, the food selection and taste was on point, and the feeling of being welcomed. We loved it so much we went back the next day for our last day of vacation breakfast. Note: Try their Hot Expresso and Iced Vanilla Latte. You'll be glad you did.

So delicious every time I come here. It's one of the last places where they actually serve water in a glass cup instead of plastic cups. I had to California florentine breakfast with added regular bacon. Oatmilk latte was on point as well.
