Cutest coffee shop in Oakland! I always drive past but never realized it was Blue Bottle. The food and drinks are amazing. The service was great, the employee who helped me warmed up my food and delivered it to my table. The place is gorgeous, very photo worthy!!

Pricey like other reviewers have mentioned, but what isn't in the bay. This location makes a lovely latte. Other locations I've been to in SF and SJ have made lattes that were way too acidic and not at all dialed in, but this one has been perfect. Open, airy space and friendly baristas.

The space is beautiful but the cappuccinos are just not well made (too hot, no microfoam, just amateur) and now cost $6!? Lol. The coffee at least used the made correctly, but I haven’t had a great cap here since before covid.

My expectations were quite high, as I read a lot about blue bottle before. I asked for their single origin option and was happy to see them using Acais Orbit dosing tool. The cappuccino was just ok. The shot wasn't pull to show the sweet and floral character of this single origin, but rather was quite pungent. I loved the sturdy built and clean interior ✌️
My first favorite local roasters. Worth a visit for the drinks would be nice if they expanded food menu. Broadway location is a beautiful site.

Is customer service dead? I was the first customer here at 6am when they opened, and of the three employees, not one of them looked me in the eye. No smile, no warmth, no friendliness. The woman who rang me up was incredibly impatient with me even though I was the only person in their gigantic cafe. Maybe it's the younger generation, but it feels like it's so rare to receive exceptional customer service these days. I guess I was just raised differently - in hospitality - you're supposed to be warm gracious friendly kind personable and accommodating. Eye contact and politeness at a bare minimum. And don't work at a coffee shop if you can't be friendly in the morning. No brainer. Good customer service is part of what people are paying for when they choose to spend money. I could easily make myself coffee at home but I'm paying for the convenience of someone else making it and I'm paying to be *served.* I will not be coming back to blue bottle as they've clearly grown to a size where they no longer care about the customer experience. Oh! And my latte was cold upon arrival. I'm actually going to head over to Highwire on College where I know they are going to treat me well and greet me with a friendly smile.

Love this huge BB location with plenty of natural light and seating! Ordered one of my favorite seasonal drinks, the cardamom ice latte with a hint of orange. The service was really fast and super friendly!
