The space was excellent with plenty of room, an open kitchen, and art from local artists. Unfortunately the menu was too expensive for what they delivered. Additionally, they were out of the chicken and a few other cheaper entrees which pushed you to the $35-$40 entrees. While excellent in the $25-$30 range, the serving size/service/presentation did not live up to my expectations at that price point. The drinks were also quite good but again, at $17 for a cocktail and $12 for a draft beer I felt like I paid too much for what I got. All the dishes were quite good but when paying the check, I was overall disappointed in what I received for my money

My main was not my favorite. My lamb had a bit of a sweetness to it that I couldn't stomach, but others loved the same dish. Their bread pudding on the other hand was incredible. Definitely get it if you do stop by.

Please add sangria to your menu! ??
I was tasked with finding a restaurant to host a company dinner for about 30 people, and I’m so grateful I came across Bocanova. The entire event was fantastic from start to finish. Guests were immediately impressed when they arrived, and throughout the evening, I received endless compliments on the menu, drinks, atmosphere, and top-notch service. The attention to detail was truly remarkable, creating a memorable experience for everyone. Working with Martin behind the scenes made the planning process a breeze—his team was organized, attentive, and made everything stress-free. Also worth noting, they provided incredible service to our vegan individuals, ensuring they weren’t left out, which was a huge plus. Bocanova exceeded all expectations, and I sincerely hope to work with them again for future events!

I cant say enough about the amazing experience we had with Bocanova! We planned a wedding rehearsal dinner here for our son, and right from the start, Martin was very reassuring and forthcoming with suggestions. On the day of, he and his amazing staff took care of every detail including special attention to guests with specific dietary needs. The food was amazing, very well prepared, and executed. The drinks served were enjoyed by our guests, many of whom were wine connoisseurs. The Atrium was beautiful in the evening and our guests were thoroughly pleased with the entire experience. Every guest came up to us to express how impressed they were with the atmosphere of the place, the food and the overall service.
I definitely recommend Bocanova for your event!

Simple yet spacious. We had happy hour and the bartender was quick and kind. We had two apps- empanadas and crispy Brussels sprouts. We will come back to dinner. It all looks delicious.

Decor, music, cleanliness and fashionable.
Would do brunch and happy hour often. The menu needs some more items, more sazón, and the portions need to be larger for the price.
But for a date, brunch or lunch, def a good alternative.
I feel the main dining area needs some more art work or color since we are claiming a latin feel.
But overall would go back.
My server was a gem.

Excellent
This place used to be in Jack London square and was more of a bar with tapas, rather pricey tapas.
The saving grace is their croissant bread pudding. It's the only thing off the original menu(Jack London) they kept, strictly because the customers requested it. The chef wanted to offer different fare but didn't realize what brought people in. The Bread pudding has changed a lil since then, it used to be prepared differently and has gone from $10 to $13. I still recommend this dessert for sure.

Very good food, but overpriced.
Appetizers are good, especially tostada.... Flavorful.
Steak was soooo good, but without the sauce, which is very salty and overpowering. I used it with veggies, though.
