Nice open setting with great natural light for lunch. Healthy and tasty food options available.

Convenient location, near transit (BART station) and not far from freeway exit. Very nice facility, modern, clean and good looking. Food wasn't very pricey. Wines were a little expensive but we got 50% off for Sunday so that really helped. The fried calamary was pretty good. The fish and chips were good too but perhaps a little more would be nice. The Cioppino must be the Caribbean style because it tasted nothing like the one you would in North Beach, San Francisco. It had just a few shrimps and few pieces of fish, no shellfish, and could have used more saffron (unless not required for Caribbean cooking). The raw oysters were from Washington, fresh. I wonder why not California. We have oysters farms in Marshall, Point Reyes, etc.

The food was amazing. We shared a bunch of stuff-a scallop special, Peruvian ceviche, duck tostadas, and blue crab deviled eggs. Everything was amazing and we want to go back and try the rest of the menu. Service was great, and valet parking across the street at the Oakland Marriott was very easy. This was a birthday dinner, and the Mexican chocolate ice cream they brought was great too. Highly recommend

Fantastic! Beef empanadas, mango & avocado salad, Brussels sprouts, and beef stir fry were all delicious. Service was warm and hospitable and the space is absolutely beautiful. Watermelon & lime agua Fresca really hit the spot, too.

Only suggestion: get rid of the flavorless, mass produced Heineken 0 as your only non alcoholic beer option and support a craft brewery that makes great tasting N.A. beer (such as Fieldwork and their Headliner N.A. IPA, Athletic Brewing’s IPA and their lager, and Best Day Brewing’s Kolsch to name a few). There’s also some really exceptional non alcoholic aperitifs and spirit alternatives on the market now that can be used to make some complex N.A. cocktails that would balance out your juice-forward mocktails. 👍

Great experience all around! Keep up the good work Bocanova. Cheers!

We were excited to try this place, the menu looked promising and creative. However, the food was ok, and two of the dishes that I ordered were no longer available at 6:00pm: they ran out of of potatoes! Our server was not helpful nor friendly. Overall a big disappointment.

We had to change plans last minute for a major family celebration and this establishment went above and beyond to accommodate our group! They made everything so special for us, even adding some extra special touches! On top of that the food was AMAZING!! Definitely a highlight of our trip! Thank you!!

I did one of Bocanova’s monthly dinner clubs and couldn’t be happier. 5 courses with a wine pairing for each course and the opportunity to meet new people and share stories, such a good idea! The food was amazing and service was even better. I will definitely be coming back, especially for $2 oysters!

I picked this restaurant based on its location, but can confidently say it is worth traveling to!

Their dishes all had a nice heart and soul. From more refreshing seafood dishes like the ceviche, to the perfectly balanced corn bread every single item ordered hit the spot.

Drinks had a nice twist to them appropriate for the aesthetic and theme. The prices there and with the food were reasonable as well.

Fantastic! We had a wonderful anniversary dinner for my parents. They accommodated us at last minute, and treated us like royalty. Food was amazing, service was lovely, and the venue was very comfortable. It was an upscale feel with very down to earth staff. Would definitely recommend!

Eating at Boca ova in Oakland was a truly amazing experience. The food was incredible, each dish was so fire, with flavors that were just out of this world.
What really made our night tho was our server, Nicole & the owner Martín. They were soooo attentive and friendly. Nicole knew everything about the menu. Her recommendations were perfect, and she made us feel so welcome. As someone who is picky and doesn’t like trying new things her recs were on point! Didn’t know they had happy hour in the front will definitely be back for that!

Loved the shrimp Louie salad! The service is amazing! I washed it down with with their famous Bocanova margarita. Cozette was my bartender and she was amazing and recommend the new dessert cupula de limon (kinda like a lime mouse dome) so good gotta try for sure ! Met the owner Martin he was a great guy I recommend you come in for happy hour every day 3-6pm!

I used to go here back when it was at Jack London. Now I stopped in to kill an hour. Had an oyster shooter (delicious!) and a mezcalita. Super friendly staff, big spacious dining room. No more quinoa duck cherry salad but still good.

Fredh and amazing! 2nd time going with my wife. Like last time, sat with my wife at the bar, and again, engaged the bartender, executive chef, and owner. Again, went with their choices. Amazing!
