I found it odd where he pulled the utensils from ... I love supporting black owned businesses but they need to get there s#it together! I saw him dip his fingers in the gravy and that's not okayTo each it's own.

oxtails were great, greans was good, no regular cornbread, and the macaroni was just ok rice and gravey was pretty good. price was a little high, French toast was good but i don't know if i want to pay $6 in the hood in a togo box. i am glad they are there and i will try something else also.

We were passing by from San Francisco to LA. We stopped at another like chinese restaurant accross the street and they were very rude and unfriendly. Asked a nice lady if there qas any where else to eat. She pointed across the street. We went and THEY WERE SO FRINDLY. Very small place therefore, one table that was being used saw us 3 and offered the table while they were still eating. We accepted and they went to a smaller table. Every body was very nice and friendly. Wish we can come back but, it’s kind of far. Still, FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. Tuna sandwhich, big cheese burger, home made potatoes, hot chocolate, yummy…

Stopped by here last Friday with my brother to grab breakfast, before shopping for our annual BBQ. The restaurant inside is small with about 4 tables and then there is a tent with 2 or 3 more two seater tables out front. The neighborhood is what it is, but no extracurricular activities that morning.I ordered the eggs, grits and salmon croquettes (now that I think about it, he never asked how I wanted my eggs prepared-so not sure if there are options outside of scrambled with hella pepper). The grits were a good consistency and hella buttery. The salmon croquettes were not store bought frozen patties and I was pleased, but they could use a bit more seasoning. My brother had the grits, links and eggs and he was ok with them.Prices are cool the staff was friendly and the food was alright.

Good Morning Yelp Fam. Sadly, I have to leave a one star review for Bojax. In an effort to continue to seek out and support Black business in Oakland, I and a guest went here for breakfast. The first strike was when we walked in the cook/owner/server walked past us three times without so much as a glance. We sat there with the slow blink thinking wtf. After about 10 minutes of waiting I asked a young man who seemed to know the cook/owner/server, if he was going to return to the restaurant anytime soon ( he walked in and out about 3 times). The young man said " I think so"...hmm, ok. If time were not a factor we would have left. Long story longer, we ate ( food was bland and salmon croquets were a disaster). I am going to continue to support Black business in Oakland but unfortunately not Bojax.
