The service was wonderful! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The food was so disappointing. The burrata was cold with a really solid outside shell/film. The mushroom soup was good. The bean tagine was fine. It was a bunch of canned beans poured into a pot with some sauce and onions. The mussels tasted of nothing but black licorice / star anise.
The staff was lovely. The food was mostly edible.

A Cote is a beautiful, happy, and delicious. The service was great and we felt like a server was there as soon as we needed them. We had a 3 course vegetarian meal and we liked everything, the Tagine was amazing. It had an intimate and elegant feel.

Very friendly neighborhood institution. Staff and atmosphere are very welcoming- even to young families with kids. Food is good if not exceptional. Go for the homely vibes.

Food is very good, but not reallly memorable. Hip vibe, but very crowded. The service was outstanding! Probably won't return.

The food was delicious and the choices eclectic. While the dishes pay homage to European origins, it is not exclusively a French restaurant as it's name might imply. Presentation was basic. Kudos to service by Kevin at the bar.

I usually really enjoy this place, but tonight my experience felt rushed and impersonal. I stopped by to try their special Northern Spain menu as they were advertising it on their social media page. Sat at the bar and the gentleman who assisted me wasn’t very warm or friendly. The food, however, was delicious as always. The Spanish wine flight that I had was tasty and the ambience was wonderful.
The price point is definitely a bit out of touch as well. $72 for two appetizers and one wine flight seems bit pricey. It was good though, so I won’t complain too much on that end. Service was rushed and I almost felt slightly ignored aside from when the gentleman asked me if I wanted more food or drinks. They never checked in to see how I was enjoying the food or the wine.
I wasn’t there for too long, but it felt like I was being rushed. It’s too bad because I’ve had some great experiences here in the past. Let’s hope that this is a one time deal and not the new normal.

My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant! The staff is always warm and welcoming, and every dish we’ve tried has been delicious. The patio feels like a hidden garden oasis, the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal together. The gazpacho knocked my socks off. Would return just for that.

It’s been some time since we visited À Côté and so we decided to come for Oktoberfest and the German wine tasting. It was so so good. And the staff was lovely! We will be back soon for some mussels. Thanks for the great fries and the great wine and the great service.

The food and cocktails have unfortunately gone downhill at this classic Oakland spot. Our server/bartender at the bar was great, but my first cocktail tasted like perfume, super strong in flavor and sweet, not balanced. He was very quick to replace it and super nice about it. We had steak frites, mussels, and burrata salad. Everything was just ok.
The fries on the steak frites seemed like the bottom of the batch, they weren't hot and seemed like they were fired in a large amount and left to sit too long before sending out.
Mussels were the only thing that seemed seasoned and prepared as intended.
The burrata was extremely simple as burrata dishes often are, but still under seasoned.
