I went here at the suggestion of a friend. Crispy chicken tacos were okay. My 2 year old kept spitting the meat out because it was dry. The worse thing is they are stingy with their salsa. Got a taco plate and a bowl of chips and they only gave us two little sauce cups. I'll give it another shot since I'm not a fan of chicken at restaurants, but salsa is cheap to make. They should give you plenty at the prices they are charging.

I have not been here for a while; recent visit was a great disappointment. Gone are the free salsa, lime, and pickled vegetable stands. Prices increased but amenities greatly reduced. I ordered to go, they didn't even put any tiny salsa container in my bag. I had to ask for it, she reluctantly put a couple in my bag. The size of the regular burrito was also reduced. It used to provide two meals for me, now, one plus a bit extra. The chips are not crispy, kind of tough to chew. What a let down. I will not visit this place again despite its Rockridge locations.

We have been going to Cactus for almost 30 years. My children were raised on cactus burritos! Over that time the food has been great, consistent with reasonable prices except for the past 2 years. The burritos are awful and the crispy chicken tacos were dripping with oil. They changed the recipe on the best fish burrito I loved for years. Now the cabbage is cooked, not fresh. I can’t go here any more. It’s a disappointment.

This place has delicious food and quick counter service. The drink dispenser has flat and sparkling water. Definitely our go-to place for Mexican food while in Rockridge.

Mi nieto loves the refried beans and rice every time I visit. He insists we go here almost every time I visit. Great!

Good food in affordable price. They use disposable plastic unfortunately which is a HUGE minus for any business, no option to get your drink not in disposable cup.

Disappointed is the best way to describe it, used to be great back in the day. But now, $16 for a burrito? Price alone is insane, yet on top of that, it’s really not even that good, zero flavor and very bland overall. Wouldn’t go back

Asked for rice and beans on a plate with the tortilla on the side. I was told I could only get it as a burrito.

Chiliquiles for brunch. One sad scrambled egg on the chips. Skip this and head to Tacubaya

My first really bad experience in 25 years: I ordered chile relleno with carne asada and two simple quesadillas. My relleno had NO CARNE ASADA, abundant rice and maybe 3 tbsps of refried beans ~ It also took about 30 minutes from pickup to delivery (distance one mile). I won’t do this again.
Love the tacos here!
