This place absolutely rocks. It’s exactly the kind of neighborhood spot you hope to find - super high quality food but with a totally casual vibe and excellent price point. Jerk Salmon was exceptional. Owner was hella nice too. So glad we found our new fav spot!

I am an instant fan. The jerk salmon is so good, perfectly cooked and flavorful, not spicy. Those plantains had so much flavor and loved the texture. Loved the blueberry lemonade. The donuts were delicious, and came with caramel and chocolate dip. Loved the dough. The prices were decent, and the food was worth it. Will definitely be back!

Good food and friendly staff, we got a burger and the chicken sandwich. Both were solid. My only complaint is that they're hours are tricky, whish they were open till 6 at least for dinner.

I am so glad I was in the area and checked this place out! The folks were friendly, they make everything from scratch, and the food was seasoned and cooked to savory perfection. We had the grains in purgatory, a sausage biscuit sandwich, and a couple of iced coffees. Perfect brunch for a sunny Saturday.I can't wait to become a regular!

Excellent food, very welcoming folks, loved the exterior. Only waited 10ish mins and was worth the wait! Sat on a nice little stool and enjoyed the warm day!You can definitely tell they take pride in their food and menu!

Cafe Noir is wonderful! I LOVE salmon, have had it at hundreds of places, and theirs might be the best -- seriously. The Grains of Purgatory were also delicious, but not GF so I didn't eat as much. The sauce was delicious though. The plantains were very good, as well as their delicious Sorrel (special Carribean hibiscus punch)The people there were VERY nice and helpful. They did everything they could to ensure we had a wonderful lunch.Note: There is no indoor seating -- just two stools and a thin bar looking over the parking lot. There IS the very nice Dimond park a short 15 minute walk away, through the nice neighborhood. For lunch, the park was far nicer than the inside of any restaurant.

Parking: There is a small lot right in front, and there seemed to be plenty of street parking nearby.

Ouuuuweee the brunch I just got from this place is so damn good. I showed Marisa at the front counter the Grains in Purgatory entree picture I found on Yelp and she knew exactly what I wanted! I also got the Sorrel, a Jamaican hibiscus cold drink with an orange slice on top. I can't tell you how badly I've been wanting to try this place and I'm so glad I did. Marisa was so fun when I spoke to her at the counter, and this place is Black owned AND reasonably priced. This will be my go to spot on my days off.

Amazing chicken sandwich. The beet and goat cheese salad was excellent with chicken. Next time, I’ll try the shrimp. The ricotta donuts with the caramel and chocolate dipping sauces are out of this world!!
