Really cute quaint lunch spot with bowls with healthy ingredients. Great cafe selection as well. The staff are incredibly friendly. I love that this exists in the Dimond district!

This place was really nice, and the food, specifically the jook is absolutely outstanding.

My new lunch obsession ? healthy and sooo yummy. I got the basic plus avo and tempeh and it was scrumptious. I’ll be dreaming of it.

I used to really love this place and I would come by myself to treat myself to lunch. Today I walked in and the service first of all was terrible. Nobody took my order in till they finished everything food and drink for the person in front of me, barely acknowledging me, even though there were two people behind the counter Then I ordered a salmon bowl which cost me about $15. I walked out to eat it and found there to be zero salmon inside the bowl I walked back into show them and the woman completely rudely didn’t even apologize for the mistake. Gave me a tiny scoop full of salmon on top of my bowl and was incredibly rude about it. This place used to be good. I am super disappointed.

Such a cute little coffee shop! My friends and I stopped by to get a little something to eat & our caffeine fix before we hit the road. Here was my experience: Mocha: Yummy! It wasn't really hot when I got it, but it was warm enough. As long as the taste is there, I'm happy! Gim Bap: Definitely tastes a little different than other places-- but good, and perfect for the price!

The food here is excellent and healthy. Its a great place to meet up with others as you can hear each other talk and the vibe is good. I’m plant-based and really like the options available. Casual dining.Vegetarian options: Excellent vegan and vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.

I came here for lunch, and there was nobody else here. I was surprised! I really love rice porridge, so I got the jook with chicken comb. This was unlike any jook I've ever had - it was filled with so much hearty stuff. I felt really healthy eating it, but it was pretty bland to me. I wished there was more salt to it.

I have had this on my list to visit for years. Finally made it happen. Met a friend right after they opened. I had. A lovely honeybush tea, they had coffee and a delicious looking bowl with mushrooms, greens and porridge. It was devoured quickly with lots of compliments. The staff member was super helpful and polite. Nice, welcoming seating space, albeit small. And I love a place with multiple herbal tea options. Will definitely be back and this time will indulge in their food items as well.

Just tried Cafe Umami for the first time for a lunch salad, and I'm definitely going back. I ordered take-out via online. Food was ready in 15 mins and waiting for me when I rolled up.Ordered the salmon salad bowl and loved it. Dressing was tasty, ingredients were fresh and the greens were flavorful. Well-proportioned and reasonable cost.I'll be going back to try other items from their menu.

Yes, yes, yes. I always wondered why there is no Asian breakfast in America (minus dimsum). This was exactly what I needed and was looking for. So excited. Thank you.

Wow. I was not expecting this tiny restaurant hidden by a tree to light up my taste buds and get me to understand umami fully. We came for brunch, which is the same menu as always. I had the Jook and added an egg. It was exceptional. I wish they were closer but I'll go back.

So good. Fresh, delicious, healthy, filling, authentic, budget friendly food. I write like one review every 3-4 years. The pulled pork Jook bowl is so good, I just had to say something. On top of the perfect food, the gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and finished my order before I even had time to put money in the meter. I love this place.
