Coffee Chiave has become my go-to for a simple solo breakfast or brunch. The casual atmosphere makes it easy to settle into a small table by yourself and catch up on reading or knock out a few personal tasks without feeling rushed or out of place.
I always opt for the breakfast special—they offer one each day, at least whenever I’ve been—and it hasn’t disappointed yet. Today’s was a chorizo scramble with perfectly crispy home fries, fresh pico de gallo, and crumbled feta. Hearty without being heavy.
A nice touch: their coffee for here comes in small, medium, or large mug options (medium shown). And if you can snag the spot by the window, do it—nothing like a little vitamin D with your morning meal.
