Someone said this is the best late night spot in the Bay Area, and they did not lie! Service is fantastic and food is even better. Mohamed Ziko took excellent care of us! Thanks again!

Filling, and yummy, late night Middle Eastern option in Oakland.Falafel, a slightly fluffy blend of legume, herbed and deep fried. An Egyptian treat, Koshiary is a comfort food bomb — macaroni pasta in tomato lentil sauce made deeply flavorful from fried onions.

Honestly we were blown away by the shrimp falafel. The spices were authentic and the staff was kind and curteous. As Oakland residents we are proud to have this restaurant in our community.

Very beautiful restaurant makes you feel like you are in Egypt. Food is so good and tasty. We are so lucky to have this restaurant in America. Honestly I felt like I was in Egypt. In Ramadan it feels extra special and the a great time. Thank you Cairo Station Cafe.

This gyro and chips to go were only $14, tax included. And the meat was very generous. Very tasty. I recommend it with the hot sauce. The service was great, they brought out the order while I sat in one of their patio chairs outside.Speaking of chairs, the decor and vibe is top notch. They did a really amazing job decorating the entire place with an Egyptian theme. There is a cute, cozy upstairs nook to eat in. And, as I said, some outdoor seating to people watch. This is a place with character and good food. Go there!

We were walking towards a different restaurant but were stopped by the most amazing aroma coming out of Cairo Station Cafe. We popped inside and thought the atmosphere looked fun, so we made an order. The food was OUTSTANDING! We shared a chicken rice plate and shrimp falafel wrap, and it was an incredible combo. The service and music were also great. We will certainly be back!!

Super saucy tasty shawarma. They were sweet and brought extra chairs outside so we could enjoy the lucky lovely weather we had today in February. Pleasant tasty experience.

I tried the shrimp falafel for the first time right after I had my first child. My husband had gotten takeout and I immediately jumped in the car to get another. It was that good. Love this place.

I feel compelled to share a serious warning about Cairo Station. My visit there ended with a trip to the hospital due to severe food poisoning. The experience was not only painful but also frightening. To make matters worse, a friend of mine had a similar experience at this restaurant. This can't be a coincidence. The service, too, was abysmal - complete disregard for customer care and a lack of basic hospitality. It's beyond disappointing; it's unacceptable. I urge others to think twice before dining here. Your health and well-being are too important to risk.

Cairo Station has a breath taking ambience. This is authentic North African, Egyptian cuisine and not a hipster or over-priced anglo-American take on Egyptian food.As I was walking on Telegraph Ave, I was so moved by this restaurant. So much so, that I purchased a meal while having already previously ate and not being hungry.I was so ecstatic to support! The men who work there are very kind. Very inviting and open. The doors fully open and you can view the street so it is not claustrophobic or a tight space. The art on the wall is eclectic and captures the soul of this cafe. Will be returning every time I'm in Oakland.
