We were looking for some takeout and we've exhausted most of the Montclair restaurants, so we thought we would try this place. After all, I loved it when it was "Camber". There's a big sign out front saying "take out and delivery", doors are open...so I walk in to place an order. The second I walk in 3 guys sitting at the bar (employees) yell "WE'RE CLOSED!!!" at the top of their lungs In the rudest manner you could imagine. If you're closed, that's fine. But there is no reason to treat me like I'm a solicitor or a trespasser. Maybe put a sign up saying "closed". Or, better yet, lock the door. If I were an over-priced restaurant in need of revenue during a pandemic, I might treat my potential customers with a little more respect. Well...I dropped $60 at Crogan's instead. They're always happy to see me. Good of luck with your restaurant, guys. I look forward to never giving you a dime.

We are so disappointed to give such a low rating - we've loved this place for years. But we just ordered online, received a confirmation, and showed up to find the doors locked and lights off. Unclear at this point if our card was actually charged. This business needs to update their website, add a sign on the door explaining when they're closed, and hopefully tell us all when they'll be back in business so we can happily come back.

This place is closed!!! I'm not sure if it's temporary, but I just ordered from their online site and my payment went through. When I went to pick up the food, the restaurant was closed. I love this place but this is a bad look. Please disable your website and online ordering form. :(

I accidentally parked a short walk away because I was worried that they wouldn't have parking, but when I passed by the lot I made a mental note to park there next time! I come from a city that has plazas and parking everywhere so I usually dread going to Oakland sometimes because parking is pretty bad, but it is definitely not the case here. The last time I tried to call this place, the phone kept ringing and it didn't sound like anyone was going to pick up. So, I had my boyfriend order our dinner around 4:00 when they opened so I could pick it up after work around 6:30. My boyfriend said that the phone was ringing for a while, but I was just glad he was able to get the order in. By the time I was there, the food was all ready and I was able to use the Yelp deal! The servers were quick and seemed to taking all COVID precautions. I brought the food home (after about a 30 min car ride because I had to pick up something else on the way home) and it was still warm! My boyfriend and I shared the chicken pad thai & green chicken curry. We both agreed that it was pretty good and we even had leftovers for lunch the next day. I especially liked the green curry because it had a little spice, but it wasn't painful. The spice seemed to build on itself and made it tastier with each bite. You have to order rice separately, but my boyfriend and I just ate the curry with the rice we already have at home. The pad thai was good, too! The noodles weren't too dry and I liked how they put the toppings on the side because I hate beansprouts while my boyfriend loves them. I do wish they had peanuts, but it was still really good! I will definitely come back again!

Very MEH. Ordered takeout and was not impressed. Our noodles had flavorless chicken added on pretty much as an afterthought, not integrated into the flavor of the dish at all. Curry was pretty good. Shrimp stirfry was sort of mealy and not impressive. Do not think we would come back here.

Really good food at the restaurant. Pickup was quick and easy. Looking forward to dining in some day. Lao Egg Rolls were outstanding!

I wanted to try a new restaurant and based on the reviews I figured l, why not. 1. Bland Pad Thai, with dried out tofu. 2. Crab puffs, were almost burnt. My .02 is save your money.

Ordered the beef boat noodles and it totally hit the spot for my weekend craving of noodle soup. The broth is less clear than a pho, but the flavor is there and the meat tastes like it was marinated. Also ordered the birds nest noods, which is deep fried noodles served with a gravy, meat, and vegetables. It was done well. Sauce came separately and once reheated was perfect with the thin fried noodles. Had food delivered.

Love rice ball salad so tried theirs. Not a fan. Much prefer the Saap Avenue for Laotian food, and especially their vegetarian rice ball salad. Ordered a noodle dish and found it greasy. No reason to go back and not sure why the reviews are so good.

This place is very good. Its not the amazing caliber of Daughter of Thai but its still very good and is less expensive. I like their yellow curry very much and pad see ew is good. Not a fan of their veggie spring rolls though.

I was happy with the shaking beef stir fry pretty good n meat was good quality I would say. I wasn't a fan of the fried chicken egg rolls. They seem like something you buy from Store n bake them in the oven. Tried to order a Thai ice tea but they didn't have cream to add in. Besides that it was good

Mediocre. Waited forever just for someone to bring the food out. Not memorable in any way. Have not gone back.

Oh man!! What a let down, darn. See this is what happens when I adventure out of my norm ahhh!!I am in search of the best Pad Thai in Oakland so I decided to switch it up and check out this spot. Here is the verdict and I will say, I have no idea how this spot got the level of rating, maybe from staff KINDNESS Really nice people, accommodating but I don't believe from the food.Tofu Pad Thai- Horrible the worst I ever had, it was sugar noodles with garlic, no flavor and I asked for spicy which the staff helped me name and said "ask for Thai spicy" Yes, he got me and I see he wrote it on ticket. My thought the flavors with spice is going to blow my mouth apart YES!!! But, NO sad NO SPICE at all!! Nothing no heat, not taste nothing ahhh (sorry guys I only eat out 1 day a week and this was my spend), just sweetness with garlic lingering behind. Noodle texture slightly mushy!! Ahhh Oh and I ran into 1 sour piece of Tofu ahhh whyyyyyy!Shrimp Spring Roll- Tasteless even the little individual little pieces of shrimp cost $12 absolutely not worth it, the Sauce that came with it straight up Peanut Butter like what I get out of my refrigerator. PCome on the worse, $28 in the hole for a horrible food experience. My search for authentic Pad Thai- that yes I know is a street food, remains in progress. I shall keep looking I know true Thai lives in Oakland for sure.

Me and my wife was craving for some Thai food and came across this Lao/Thai restaurant from a recommendation. Great location, looks nice from the outside and great food. Enjoyed the pad Thai and green curry very much. Great service! I had my kids with me so it would have been very difficult to handle them going in to pick up food so they were very nice to offer curbside pick up. Glad we found this gem of place. Look forward to our next meal there!

While the food was ready exactly on time and wasn't bad, it also wasn't good. But what prompted this review was upon entering right in front there was a large group of guests sitting and eating clearly in violation of the county health order. The person taking their order had his mask down. Then the person who brought my food wasn't wearing a mask.
