This was THE saltiest pizza I have ever eaten, and I'm from the Midwest where everything is extra salty. Maybe I just got my pizza on a day that the chef was a little heavy handed. Would try again someday. The service was fine, and Grand Lake Kitchen is a cool spot with lots of seating. Worth trying for yourself.

Delicious pizza! We ordered the Thick Pepperoni and added extra pepperoni and the Thick Mahalo. I’m glad I added extra pepperoni because the amount on the pizza was perfect. Both pizzas had a delicious, thick & crispy, perfectly fermented crust. I enjoy a slightly more sour crust and this was excellent.The Thick Mahalo had great flavor, the pineapple flavor was there without biting into large pieces of pineapple. I actually couldn’t see any pineapple but was able to taste its sweetness. Jalapeños were minimal and it wasn’t spicy.Prices for each pizza were cheaper if you ordered for pickup rather than on a delivery app so we picked up our order.Definitely recommend

I asked for the think Malaho without jalapenos peppers with mushrooms. The pizza was covered in jalapenos on two slices I removed 9 slices of jalapeno. Seeds all over the dough. Way to hot for me. Also said it came with pineapple none to be found. This is the second time I ordered from them both times there was something wrong with the order. The first time I said bad days happen. This time it just plain sucks. I want to like them because the dough is tasty. It's back to red boys for me. Update so I called the business directly Jenn said she would send me a gift in the mail and try to get a refund from grub hub. So far it's been 7 days and nothing. If something changes I'll CR update again.

Carbona is my favorite pizza in the Bay Area.I'm a pretty bad writer and I don't think I'd do their pizza justice if I tried describing why it's so good. So instead, I'll just list some other favorite pizza places so that you can check if your pizza taste aligns with mine (and therefore, if there's a good chance you'll like Carbona too): Little Star Pizza, Emilia's Pizzeria, DamnFine, Cheese Board Collective.My favorite pizzas at Carbona are the Thick Pollan and the Thick Mahalo - please give this place a try!

Pizza was a nice Detroit style- square, thick crust, more bread to sauce ratio. Very delicious and nice caramelization on the bottom of the pizza. Dole whip is great just wish they filled up the whole to go container so you feel like you are getting what you paid for.

So, today I tried Carbona for the first time and I wish that I spent more time reading the rest of the reviews because the pizza was just NOT it. It was salty, greasy, burnt, and way overpriced. I got the cheese pizza with some toppings of mushrooms and olives and the olive were completely burnt! There was also very little cheese. I'm so confused as to what I just ate. I ended up throwing the rest of it away. Square Pie Guys definitely has better quality detroit style pizza!

Had a great lunch with some friends from out of town. Try their quartered deep fried potatoes - they were an amazing side to go with my sandwich!

I'm from Detroit and love that Oakland has caught on to square pizza. We had the Thick Pollan and the thick baby Ray Ray. Couldn't decide which we liked better. Will def be back to try the others as well. Vicious salad was great and the individual size was enough for three of us to each get some greens.
