5 Stars because it's right across the street from the IRS. Whether you leave that building happy or sad, both attitudes could use a cold brew and a croissant -- both of which were good. This cafe is exactly what you need, exactly where you need it.Considered dropping it to 4 stars for not providing the opportunity to get drunk if that's what you needed after the an IRS meeting instead.

Ordered the breakfast burrito. The eggs are powder, not enough avocado ordered without sour cream. Every mediocre, no flavor generic-mid. Price too high for quality. Doesn't come with salsa or sauce.

Absolutely wonderful little cafe! Quick with delicious espresso drinks and super tasty pastries. Best almond croissants I have ever had! The sandwiches are also spectacular and super fairly priced. The lady who runs the place is so very sweet and on top of things. She also sells handmade jewelry, which is all beautiful. Great for gifts - to others or yourself.I will absolutely be back if I’m ever in the area again!

Might have the best bagels near downtown Oakland, when there are whole bakeries and bagel shops nearby.Something about these bagels! Always fresh. Always good.

With inflation piling on to our already-high Bay Area prices, it's a good time to be looking for bargains. I thought I'd start with breakfast; after all, it's the most important meal of the day! Perusing my Uber Eats delivery options (that were not McDonald's), I settled on City Cup and Coffee in Oakland. I used to live near the place but never got around to trying it. So here goes ... Items ordered: - Chorizo breakfast burrito $10.95 - 2-item breakfast bar sandwich of egg, turkey sausage on an English muffin $5.50 - Green Goddess green juice $4.95 - Avocado smoothie $4.95 - Via UberEats Burrito 5/5: Decent size with really tasty chorizo, eggs, salsa, potatoes. I would definitely order this again. Breakfast sandwich 3/5: This wasn't nearly as good. In fact, I'd go as far as to say it was bland. However, it may have been my selection of fillings, and there are other fillings to choose from. But the price is decent for the area. Green Goddess 5/5 good price and taste Avocado smoothie 5/5 good price and taste All in all, pretty great breakfast burritos and prices for your most important meal of the day!

Great service and food quality! I love their BLT sandwiches but all their sandwiches are delicious in general. Also recommend their green tea matcha -it's good! I love the location of the cafe since it's convenient and the cafe itself is aesthetic and viby.

I've been visiting this little mom and pop shop for about two years, I really enjoy their lemon bar, Hot and cold beverages and their custom sandwich's Are good too. The couple that he owns the shop seem to be nice people. The wife is always super sweet. The reason why I'm writing this review is because I just ordered my first hot Panini sandwich from their menu and it was not presented as advertised. I ordered the chicken Panini it was about $10. It had flatbread with chicken pesto tomatoes and cheese it seems like a normal Panini sandwich to me. When I took my first bite into my sandwich it tasted like mayo and tuna. Picture on the menu showed a nice green pesto with a nice red tomato and the white meat. My sandwich is white. All white. I had half my sandwich but I was disappointed and I really didn't want to give it half because I was going to save it for later so I made the decision to go back to the store and ask him about the sandwich. The wife told me that the pesto taste with Adlier and I told her that pesto was green and I pointed to the picture and I asked if that was the picture on the menu. The husband comes over and explains that not all pictures represent the food, which is false advertisement. He was nice enough to give me Half the payment in exchange for the other sandwich that he tossed in the trash right in front of me it was like an attitude. He could've waited to tell us the sandwich I can understand his frustrations but at the same time I don't.
