5 stars for service but 1 star for the actual donut. Unfortunately, it’s not as good as the other Colonial Donuts I’ve been to.

The donut that I bought tasted like it was made two days ago. Maybe because it was the day after the 4th of July? Anyways, a donut of that quality should not have been sold to me for 5-6$ :(
I also had the Thai tea. It was watery, but I would have drank it without complaining too much if the donut was good.

Wish I could put more than five stars!! Best glazed donut I have ever had - and the woman running the shop could not be more kind. It is not every day in Oakland that one comes across a business as inviting and people-forward as this one. It is the ONLY place I would go out of my way to visit purely for the spirit of their customer service.. luckily, the quality of the donuts measures up! Tip: in the morning the donuts are freshly made and so warm they practically melt in your mouth.. a heavenly experience ?
