My father is at the Piedmont Gardens nursing care and I wanted to take him out to celebrate his birthday. He is mostly bed-ridden, but he gets into his wheelchair to go have lunch at their cafeteria on the same floor as his room. It's nice, but he hasn't been outside of the facility for anything other than doctor appointments for the entire year, maybe even more. The Crepe Pan is close to the nursing center, and they have outdoor seating so our dog could join us as well. I was nervous about getting my father to the restaurant, and while it wasn't easy to push his wheelchair, it was a very short way and barely any cracks. I went slowly and carefully, and we made it there in about 5 minutes. The service was great. They set up several tables outside for our party of 8 people. The portions were huge--definitely big enough for at least two people. My father ordered a kebab wrap with beef and lamb, and a sweet crepe with strawberries, nuts and chocolate sauce, and we took back half of the kebab and my daughter helped him finish the crepe. Most lunch dishes, including the kebab, came with either French or home fries and salad. I got a pesto pasta that came with two big pieces of garlic bread. I shared it with four people (just little bit for each) and still fell into a food coma afterwards. All in all, we were all happy. I think people who ordered just sweet crepes were the happiest. I think that's what they do best, so if you stick with that you def won't be disappointed. But, if you need to cater to people who want more savory stuff, they have that too and it's good enough - but again, that's not their forte.

We had s fabulous lunch at The Crepe Pan today. We had the San Francisco Crepe with smoked salmon , capers and spinach and we shared a delicious salad! The portions were large and everything was delicious.

I used to absolutely love coming to this place but had to stop due to rude staffing. The old staff there would welcome me and my friends as regulars but once new staff got hired it wasn't the same welcoming energy. We were made feel as though we were bothersome when needing to ask for anything. Now we just head up to crepevine in Berkeley. It's a little further but the service is great and the food is amazing!
