Bopping in to town to see Harry Mack at Fox Theater, we parked around the corner and wanted something to eat. I saw the phrase Indian Street Food on the window, mentioned it to Brian and it was immediately decided. I am stoked, because the food was delicious!! The tikka masala was great, mango chutney to die for, salsa with my rice (sooooo good, you have no idea!!), and if I wasn't on a diet I'd have the El Jefe burrito, which is a burrito made with naan!!! Check this place out if you're anywhere near one! I believe they have multiple locations.
Underrated place!
The food is great and the staff is very nice
Superb Indian street food in creative combinations.
The food is delicious. It’s amazing. Customer Service is great 10 out of 10. I would definitely recommend it. I was recommended by a coworker which I was a little bit reluctant into but after the first tiki masala burrito I’m coming back almost every week. It’s really good.
This place doesn’t have class for being a restaurant and they don’t pay there employees and there’s no security at night when they closing up
I like Curry Up Now
A cockroach was in the food. Do not order from here.
This place has such a delicious, unique menu. My teens love the butter chicken burger and their fries and special sauce are delicious. I love the variety of healthy vegan, gluten free bowls (ok, and the fries). ;-)
Food is edible. Nothing authentic. Serving was fair. It's a commercial for-profit food restaurant, same as any fast food chain. Can't be called fresh with ingredients that are probably cooked in bulk.
It’s clean and kept well, ticket times are solid & food bursts with flavor. Cashiers are polite and swift, with tasteful music playing. Mango lassi pricy for size.

We've only done delivery so far for a group, but I really appreciate the fusion cuisine as well as how well they do the "standards" - you can't go wrong here! Enjoy!

Speedy and excellent service. Tasty food but too bad they took away the plates option for someone looking for smaller portions without lentils
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and lots of variety for kid’s menu

I've loved curry up now ever since I moved to the Bay area 5 years ago, esp the vada pav. It was very tasty today as well, buy they have reduced the size of the vada so felt like I was only eating pav. One of the fun things about vada pav is that the vada bite brings a burst of flavor in your mouth because of the size so that was missing :( the taste is still spot on

There are so many great options. Curry Up Now has one of my favorite restaurants for years, the vegetarian dishes are all delicious. The sexy fries and the paneer tikka masala naan pizza are my favorites !
Vegetarian options: The menu has a variety of vegetarian options, which I love …

I tried a tikka masala burrito, and it was at best mediocre. Dry chunks of chicken, not much sauce or curry of any kind so the whole burrito also ends up dry, most of the burrito seemed to be rice (although there was a decent amount of chicken too, to be fair). The only flavor they seem to have is “spice”, there isn’t much else. It’s definitely filling, but even with a first order discount I still felt like I overpaid.
The service is very fast though and the place is clean. But I’d struggle for reasons to recommend going to this place over many others in Oakland.
