We had an absolutely delicious dinner at Doal Tofu & Korean BBQ on Telegraph Avenue in Oakland. I must confess that this was my first experience eating Korean but it certainly will not be my last. Our waiter was enthusiastic and very helpful explaining the different kinds of dishes and why he was putting an uncooked egg on our table.we ordered the Galbi, which is a grilled beef that was very tasty and we also ordered Yachae Sundubu, which is a tofu stew that is served so sizzling and hot that we cracked the uncooked egg and added to the stew! It cooked instantly and added a wonderful unique texture to our dish. We also ordered a veggie pancake, that was the largest scallion- type pancake i’d ever seen. It tasted wonderful. We wisely had a bottle of Cass beer that’s a delicious Korean beer. The prices were very reasonable snd I can guarantee you that once you eat here, you’ll want to return often.

Everything was fresh and delicious as I expected. Came here twice before and was impressed with the tasty traditional Korean dishes, fast, friendly service! Didn't want to go out in the cold so ordered delivery which I rarely do and was also impressed by how fast my order came and had a most satisfying delicious lunch with plenty of leftovers for dinner. We got the Mando Guk soup, galbi, mackerel and kimchi side. The rice and banchan were included . Like it better than ohgane, pyeongchang tofu, Korean Bowl'd , jonga house to name a few others in the neighborhood.Great way to start the New Year!

Slightly above average Korean food in a kid-friendly setting. Honestly, all I need is the latter. One order of bulgogi jeongol fed two tired parents and a hangry toddler, with leftovers to boot. Kids get seaweed, a yakult, and their own shatter-proof bowl. Parents get a smidge of their sanity back. Win-win.

Absolutely destroyed the food. We got the galbi (must have), seafood pancakes (must have), and bonchon of course. Everything was delicious, can’t wait to return.

I always have a good time at Daol Tofu.No frills, homey, and pure comfort. I've gotten their combos with barbecue and a stew and love the options they provide at a good price! There are so many flavors of jigae, or stew, and they are so flavorful with fast service. My favorite part about Korean food is the spread of banchan and Daol nails it with so many options! I find they are super generous which is refreshing as it feels many restaurants tend to skimp out on this critical component of Korean food and dining, especially at more trendy or popular places. No, they're not the most flashy restaurant on Telegraph, but I feel comforted by the space and the food, thank you for fulfilling my comfort food needs!

Couldn't sit outside so ordered food to go. Long wait. Non-communicative service. We usually order out on the app and just pick up. Food is consistently good.

Pronounced “dah ole.” As in “Daöl.” Two syllables and yes that’s two vowels not a diphthong. Means “everyone comes.”

Solid prices for a nice Korean meal. Cold noodles and bi bim bap were tasty, and their banchan hit the spot.

Was looking for a new Korean place to try out. I was only able to try their bulgogi dol sot bibimbap and their banchans. All their banchans were delicious. Perfectly flavored and seasoned. I enjoyed all of them, I can't say that about all Korean restaurant banchans. Daol has a good variety too. Dol Sot bibimbap: 3.5/5 the rice on the bottom was not crispy - that's the purpose of dol sot right? My favorite part is the crispy rice - but there was none. Other than that, similar to the banchans, all the components of the bibimbap were good. Good portion of meat. Service was good. Quiet, not too many people for a midweek lunch.

Excellent Galbitang! It's hard to find this soup in every Korean restaurant. When they make this dish right, I will sure return. I'm holding back on the stars until I try their Galbi plate :) This restaurant was my friend's recommendation and I enjoyed it. The side dishes presentation was very nice!

My girlfriend and I LOVE Daol. My girlfriend loves tofu soup and I love to get spicy pork and rice. So we just get a combo and it fills us up perfectly. They also feature our favorite banchan especially compared to other Korean spots nearby.Whether dining in or ordering to go, service never took long.Excellent spot!!
