Discover Community Cafe is a special place in Oakland that champions local products in their menu. They host regular community events - the monthly comedy open mic and Friday open mics are my favorite regular events. Their menu is seasonal and I love how the menu changes with what is available in the season. The mocktails and their locally blended teas are my favorite! I enjoy their seasonal soups and love their fun creative sandwiches ☺

Love this tiny gem. Everyday there’s a different program from art to free music. The non-alcoholic drinks are amazing - I had the watermelon lime. And we also had the cold noodle tofu dish, charcuterie board, Mexican 🌽 corn and it was all delicious. We had our team event here and got the large table. Krystal the owner, is amazing.

I’m so excited to have this new cafe in Oakland. Extending what Oakland is known for, community, this cafe really holds true to their mission. I’ve been here a few times and also brought my camera to the grand opening. Here, everyone is welcomed warmly, and the food is very yummy. The owner Krystle and worker Jinny are the sweetest souls and always serve with the biggest smiles. I know this will easily become a local favorite, while serving a just cause!

Came for the grand opening and was impressed by the space and the food! The atmosphere had a really cozy, welcoming vibe and all the details of the interior looked nicely designed.
I ordered the Hot Dog and Grams Potato Salad and the Strawberry Mint Lemonade. Everything was delicious. They all were elevated, delicious takes on classic items. The hot dog and the lemonade were my favorite. You could tell they used fresh strawberries for the drink, which I really liked.
This place seems like it will be a great spot to hang out with friends, family, or to just meet new people. I look forward to coming back!
