Drake’s Dealership absolutely nails it. The indoor design is stylish and welcoming, and the cozy beer garden in the center is the kind of space that makes you want to stay longer than planned. It feels lively without being overwhelming, well thought out and executed.
Big practical plus: they have gated parking and they validate the ticket. That alone removes a lot of Oakland stress.
Service was outstanding and lightning fast. Multiple staff members delivered our food in under 10 minutes from ordering, which is impressive for a place this busy. The beer selection is excellent - fresh, well-curated, and there’s something for every taste.
The finger food menu is done right. Everything we tried was solid and satisfying, no weak spots to call out, well, nothing stood out, which honestly says a lot for the place it is.
Bottom line: great space, great beer, fast service, and zero disappointments. This is absolutely a returning spot.

This place is huge. The food is excellent and fairly priced. The service was friendly and prompt. The only reason for not giving 6 stars is the beer prices were a bit higher than I expected
Lovely place.

This place is the Drakes Barrelhouse Leveled up! Great Drakes Beers and even some rotating Guests. The food is delicious and the servers are usually a blast (went for a birthday long ago and they beat us at a birthday Beer chug in a Flash!)
My favorite part is the outside beer garden. Trees and firepits for the win!

If I lived near here I’d be hanging out every night on the patio! The winter salad with a lentil burger was super good. The Brussel sprouts were so acidic as to be almost inedible and other foods seemed to be leaning that way too. My friend said: someone in the kitchen is loving their sour flavors!

Atmosphere? Amazing. Service? Incredible. Food? Outstanding. One of my favorite places I’ve been to in all of Oakland. The menu is diverse without being overwhelming, the beer selections are great, cocktails are delicious, and prices are very fair. 10/10.

Beer garden, with extensive outdoor seating set amidst a tree grove, string lights and bonfires — perfect for friends gathering or an intimate date. Wood finishes make for a down-to-earth and rugged feel.
Alongside the beer, the food is equally enjoyable. Tacos, Brussels sprouts and Tandoori Chicken Pizza (with extra tandoori sauce) are true crowd pleasers.
A good option when with a dog.

Food was variable. Some things like the Brussels sprouts on some pizzas are great, some are meh. Beer is good.

Terrible service on a slow Saturday afternoon. No waiter, just QR code ordering. Our meals came promptly but drinks were never delivered. Made two trips to the bar to get our drinks. First time the bartender said they were coming soon. Drinks never came. Second time he was confused, but we spotted them on the bar waiting for the server to deliver. They had been waiting awhile. We served ourselves. No apology from the server, just nothing. Screw Drakes, no reason to return.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced!
First I came in and stood at the podium waiting for someone to come greet me.
Literally four servers walked by without so much as a glance my way.
Had to call out twice for someone to finally walk over and say something.
He asked if I was there for the event (a game night), I was. Then he sent me back outside to a different entrance.
Once I checked in with the game night hosts, I was let back in (the same space).
And still was ignored by servers. No one ever brought me a menu, asked if I wanted a drink or anything.
Although Drake's has been around in Oakland for a while this was my first and likely last time to visit 😒

Great spot for outside beer and food
My company all hands was hosted here and they could not have been more accommodating. Everyone had been on flights the whole day and Drake's was the perfect place to gather, decompress, and reenergize. They gave us a big, private, indoor room. Nobody really wanted to sit, and even though there were tons of places to sit there was also a lot of space to stand and mingle. The space is so flexible and so accommodating.
And SAMMY. What can I say. This man came to find us in the bar even though we were 40 min early. Once he ushered us to our room, he circulated all night making sure everybody had food and drinks. One thing that really impressed everyone was that he would take names to attach to the drinks, and he remembered everybody's name after meeting them once. Not only did he find everybody to give them their drinks individually but he also remembered their names when he came back to ask how they were doing.
Since nobody wanted to sit down, we ordered a bunch of pizzas and dishes that we could share. He kept the food coming out hot all night, and kept the glasses full. He absolutely knocked my socks off with some of the best service we've had at this type of gathering.
We spent $800 for 22 people. I think the room could fit double that and everybody would still be comfortable. I highly recommend Drake's for a crowd.
