This is honestly one of my favorite places in the Bay and I was shocked to come by and see it was closed. I'm relieved that Google says it's only temporary.
This was extremely flavorful lamb shank, sauce was savory and I used every bit of Khobz to sop it up. Cool vibe indoors with exceptional staff service. I hope they open back up soon, I’d eat here once a week if I could. Interesting beverages too!
This is certainly one of the tastiest place in the area. Every time I come there I am greatly pleased. They always keep their very high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they serve. You will be always satisfied with this place. Warmly recommended.
The food is delicious. Unique combinations of flavors and textures. Fresh ingredients and nice atmosphere. I also liked the cocktails!
Outstanding Syrian food. It was my first time eating that type of food. Highly recommend. Great service. We went in and asked them to bring all the most popular dishes out. Not one of them disappointed!! Moderately priced.
I hardly ever write reviews but felt I had to. What a great meal we had. Everything was fresh and delicious and the service really couldn't have been better. Five of us shared mostly small plates and one entree. We had cocktails to start and a wonderful Lebanese white wine to accompany our meal (recommended by the fabulous hostess). Everything was excellent!!
Solid restaurant overall and great service. We really enjoyed the egg plant entree and lmb hummus
with only one visit thus far, one cannot be definitive but on first impression, this is restaurant is a real find and we plan on returning - possibly the best roasted brussels sprouts this couple has ever tasted and an out-of-this-world roasted chicken confit -
Great food, with a tasty twist on the Mediterranean recipes. good sized portions. glad we didn't order everything the waiter suggested. We were stuffed and since we were traveling we couldn't have taken any home with us.
Sarah, our server was wonderful. The bartender made fantastic cocktails and even brought them to our table. The food was delicious. I'll definitely come back. We ordered the chicken and sea bass entrees were great and the dips and small plates were even better.

I reserved a table for 2 on OpenTable. We were able to be sat earlier than our booked time, which was nice. The restaurant had a warm ambience and delicious flavors. It was a nice touch to be served sparkling water instead of normal water. I subtracted a star from a 5 star rating because the waitress interacted with me 3 times before seating us and had an unusually hard time recalling who I was and that we had already decided we would sit at the counter instead of a table, otherwise this would have been a 5 star rating. Customer service was great otherwise!
Oh what an experience! Beautiful place with delicious food... We started with fresh warm Pita (super soft) with Muhammara and Hummus. At that point I almost thought to cancel the further order and to just keep eating Pita with dips, it was that good! In small plates we had Fattoush (salad) and Batata Harra (potato), loved both of these. For main we had Rice with fried onion on top. Everything was so flavourful.
We sat the chef's counter and our server ended-up being the bartender. His lack of service and competency as a server was palpable from the beginning. He didn't know much about the new tasting menu that was introduced and we had to ask to speak to someone else to get the full scoop on it. The sea bass cost an extra $5/person but this wasn't indicated on the menu. The entree actually came-in before the appetizer - Battata hara (spicy potatoes) - because they had forgotten about it and we had to remind them about it. This was our 3rd time at Dyafa and I must say that this experience was so disappointing that this will most likely be the last. The food was average and a poor value for what we got.
I used to love this restaurant and brought folks all the time, the quality of the food and the integrity of being truly Syrian or even middle eastern is gone, there are apples in the salad, sticky toffee pudding on the dessert menu. Reem's spirit feels lost now. Additionally, the portions are a fraction of what they used to be. The fish used to be a whole fish and now it's a teeny piece.
