We came to this place because it had good ratings. The people are really nice, service was great, employees were attentive. Visiting this place felt like as if you were visiting your uncle and grabbed some food. The place seems to have history, it does seem a bit old, has a lot of wear and tear on the tables/chairs/walls/utensils. Food was good, seemed a bit bland, lacking some flavor. They do not take credit cards, only cash/venmo/zelle.
Drove all the way to the east side on a recommendation... Sauce was good, presentation 👌 but the meats were chewy. Lengua and Pork were tuff. No free refills on Aguas frescas, and the drinks on the machine tasted funny, not the best recommendation for Mexican food.
I've been a regular at Taquerias El Paisa for years. Whenever I'm nearby and need to grab a bite, this is one of my go-to spots. The team is friendly, and the service is always great. The food is tasty and priced well for the area. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for goodplice if you are in the area.
