The food was amazing and felt really authentic. A small and perfect menu with great options and portions

I always love dinner out at Enoteca Molinari and this was no exception. I had the butternut squash ravioli with sage/brown butter sauceand my friend had the tagliatelle ragu (my usual go to). Delicious wine recommended by our server, and chocolate budino for dessert was super yummy. EM is a neighborhood gem for sure!

LOVE Enoteca Molinari - This authentic Italian restaurant is the closest thing to being in Italy. Flat out delicious. We started with the Beet salad and the baby lettuce salad with radicchio. Then moved onto a prosciutto & salumi board before ending with a homemade tagliatelle with an amazing pork should ragu. We also enjoyed a lovely Nebbiolo glass of red. I wish we could have stayed for dessert but we were stuffed at that point. I highly recommend this amazing gem in the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland right on College Avenue.

We were able to get a same day Rez and I noted my preferences for table locations ie away from the front door and kitchen. The woman who greeted us at the door had apparently not seen this and attempted to seat us both near the door and kitchen however was very accommodating to our request though it took about 10-15 minutes for her to get our empty table setup. We finally were seated at a table to our liking but again it took 10 minutes to get menus and water. Our wait person finally came for our order and we mentioned one of us has a food allergy and asked which dishes could be prepared without these foods. The waitress tried to be accommodating but had to keep going back to the kitchen to double check for us. Better to do that than get sick. The options were limited but we eventually found something that the chef could specially prepare. It was excellent. Unfortunately the two appetizer salads were not so great. I'd skip the salads altogether the next time. Wine selection was fine though we were not familiar with Italian wines. The sommelier suggested 2 great options so we opted for both after sampling them. Prices for these wines was very fair. Overall I'd give the place 3 stars for service just because it was very slow and 4 stars for the entree. 2.5 stars for the mostly arugula salad and 4 stars foe the ambience

Low-key neighborhood spot. Lattuga lettuces fresh and well-dressed. Saltimbocca and pasta with ragu both very good; panna cotta was outstanding. Only downside is the menu never seems to change.

Reserved the bar but the staff didn't set it aside. Bummer. Service was friendly but took awhile to get attention.

Took four of my friends from out of town to Enoteca Molinari. Four had pasta dishes, and I had swordfish. Each of us wiped our dishes clean. The food and wine were outstanding. And the service was warm, professional, and responsive. (Extra kudos to Joe for helping me change our reservation via text.) Will definitely return.

They have the right idea. Comfortable, non-rushed European style. Decent pricing. Above average food, short of excellent but very good. Very accommodating and attentive wait staff. Friendly. Would definitely go back for a relaxing, tasty dinner and a glass of fine Italian wine.

A+++ for pasta dishes. Attentive service. Good wines by the glass. Everything reasonably priced.

Just great. On a street full of Italian options, EM flies under the radar. Five of us shared five appetizers. Arancini were really great — and we’d all just been to Sicily, so we were calibrated. Pecorino, gem salad, both excellent. Sardines were a bit small, but tasty. Cauliflower was a B. Saltimbocca, swordfish, gnocchi, and oreccietta with rabe were all nicely prepared and the desserts did not disappoint. Service and pace were relaxed. We would all go back — and will.

We had an excellent meal that was nicely paced (unlike many places that rush you through). Arancini were better than we had in Sicily, and other dishes were delicious and very well prepared and presented. Service was great and noise level not an issue at all.

We chose this restaurant for the atmosphere that we hoped would be right for to celebrate the wedding anniversary of our elderly parents somewhere nearby their apartment. The experience was underwhelming other than the environment being relatively quiet compared to the usual restaurant scene in the Bay Area. But the food was underwhelming and the service was not on par with the prices. The highlights were the beef Ragu and the desserts. The other dishes were bland and uninspired. We waited forever between courses, and we had to make a point with the server that we wanted dessert but we couldn't wait 30 minutes for it. Near the end of our visit, someone who appeared to be a manager came over and told us that there was a “new guy“ in the kitchen as a sort of apology. Comping our desserts would've been a better apology.
