I had the best red lentils I've ever tasted here. The vegetable wot is especially good, well seasoned greens, cabbage, corn, etc. on injera. And the parking's good, especially for Berkeley. My companion and I each got parking spots right in front of the restaurant.

Came here and sat outside with friends, we ordered the special that had the meat and veggies combo and two glasses of honey wine. All the meat was very well seasoned. So good and filling, no leftovers! Definitely want to come back and try more things on the menu.

Enssaro Ethiopian Restaurant did catering for a work gathering . Absolutely the BEST Ethiopian I have ever had. Solomon has such a positive vibe and helped us with everything we needed to make our party a great time! I am for sure going to visit Enssaro when in the area and our org will continue to work with Solomon for future events . ALL of us highly recommend Enssaro.Joseph

10 out of 10 out of 10!!!! Love love love this place. My friend brought me a year ago. We got the big platter and I fell in love. I was craving something that'll warm my soul and wound up here. Wasn't sure what I should order so the owner came and gave the an amazing suggestion and I ran with it. Everything is so flavorful and good . Coffee is 10/10 literally the best coffee (I was on 10 the rest of the day so watch what time you drink it) The staff is amazing. They keep it clean. They even charged my phone for me I'll for sure be back! Go now if you've never been.

I love food, and I love trying new things. I have only had Ethiopian food one time and enjoyed it. That was about 8 years ago. Came here during a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't too busy a groups of people. We were sat immediately, perused the menu for a few minutes. We decided on the veggie and meet sampler for two. I thought everything on the plate was absolutely delicious. It has such great flavor. The portions were huge and we ended up taking some home for later. I definitely enjoyed the vegetarian dishes more, but the meat dishes were very good too.

I placed an order through uber eats and arrived to pick my own order. The dude (who claims he knows to run the business) makes me wait 15 minutes to pick my order which is ready and right in front of us with the presumption that i am a delivery guy and then gets astonished that I am here to pick my own food. I asked him if he treats other uber drivers the same way to which his response is 'i make money on my customers who eat here and not pick up orders so i have to prioritize' so i politely told him he should not do business with uber or doordash and go fuck himself and treat others with dignity and respect. Stereotyping people and acting like a dick to people below will get people like him nowhere and i hope people read this and stop eating here.

Some of the best people I've had the fortune of being served by, Enssaro has heartfelt and caring people serving up the classic dishes on a bed of injera, a meal i'd be happily having everyday if I could. Their lentil sambusa hits the spot, they serve a generous side of berbere on request and the dishes all were fantastic, from the greens to the lentils to the potatoes and cabbage. The atmosphere is so nice and welcoming and the book bar next door makes for a perfect spot for drink after.

As a family owned business, the food ALWAYS tastes home cooked. Sometimes, when I don't feel like cooking at home, this is a top choice and easy yes. Service is always solid and the vibes are fantastic. The quality has never changed over the last 2 years I've eaten here -- everything always tastes the same. Truly some of the best Ethiopian food in the Bay!!!! They never miss!!! Thank you Enssaro for cooking with love and confidence! See you again verrrry soon ;)

Both veggie and meat combo samplers are bomb. Staff is kind and there is always a few aunties uncles chilling so it has a nice collectivist/family vibe. Also the cocktails are BOMB. Everyone seems to get way tunnel vision when it comes to Ethiopian restaurants and food but little do they know that the drinks can be equally worthy of high praises and unilateral focus. Good and drink prices are reasonable too and hours are later than hella other eateries in the area so night owls eating keep weekends go get your fill/bevs on!

Good food. A little chilly inside when the door is constantly opened. Qr code menu and limited service.

Not authentic Ethiopian food. Catered for south Asian and other Asian palate. If you’re Ethiopian, AVOID! Might as well get yourself some tikka Masala and Palak paneer from an Indian restaurant
