When it's not crowded, it's a great place to chill and have some good drink and food. They've definitely recovered their service and food quality. It took a dip a while back, and now it's great again. I typically fly Southwest, but make an effort to come out here. Definitely worth the walk!

The poor staff (only two of them that I could see) were heroic at keeping things running, but they had way too much on their plates — checking in guests, bussing tables, manning the bar, restocking food items. I don’t blame them for the somewhat disheveled vibe of the lounge: dirty tables and food service areas, flies in the air, long waits to get something from the bar. Please consider adding more staff members.

I had entered the lounge before using my AMEX card number as the actual card is tucked in my carry on because you are not supposed to carry anything at all in your pockets once you cross the TSA check point. This time I asked the gentleman at the counter if I can provide him with my card number instead of going through my luggage to pull it out. He said No and added he would mot allow me access to the “hospitality “ lounge. Ironic! I told him I have been allowed here before using my number as your CRM system will find me right away. I have been flying weekly from OAK to LAX and this is my 120th flight.This gentleman called security on me and described my skin color estimated my age and gave full description of how I look like.AMEX, I have been a member since 1991! This is the true definition of poor customer service.I found my card few minutes later. He let me in but did not bother neither to check me in nor to apologize for poor service.

Easily the worst AmEx lounge I've ever been too. Consistently out of food, or has horrible looking food that sits out uneaten for hours. Lots of staff, but all drink jugs are always empty and the place is always dirty. Typical Port of Oakland facility, they can even make AmEx look bad.

Agree with others. I was here for breakfast and looked like everything had been sitting out for a while. Was poorly labeled. Overall, it felt small and not particularly appealing. It felt like the free continental breakfast at a low end chain hotel.

Food was good. Spaghetti w/shrimp, meatballs and sliced breaded chicken breast. Salad, soup and a couple of desserts. Had a 10 minute wait.
