Sat outside on a nice day. Server (Samantha?) was knowledgable about the beers and the food. We enjoyed speaking with her about the choices. The tangy pickled vegetables went well with the beers. Chile Colorado disappeared too fast; it was great. We samled a few beers. When the check arrived, I was surprised. The bill was about $20 LESS than I had anticipated. Will return.

This place is the busiest bar-restaurant in the neighborhood, with extraordinarily customer-friendly hours (serves food till almost 10pm and starts with breakfast at 8am). I'm perplexed at several reviewers here reporting the new location as being noisy compared with the previous location. My experience has been precisely the opposite: In fact, I usually ordered take-out from the old location to avoid the noise and, at the new location, I've spent dozens of hours in peace and quiet chomping on delicious food or cocktail catching up on my email. The food is and service are both consistently ver good to excellent. The only construction suggestion I'd have is for the menu to be less dominated by pork dishes as this restricts the variety available to those who avoid pork (sizeable numbers of Moslems and Jews and others). The Chop Bar was quick to adapt to the lockdown by opening a take-out only service and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that will auger well for the future and they'll survive through the inevitable long-term health restrictions on public gatherings and be with us for the long term.

This is the first time I've been to the new location. It was oppressively noisy, hard to hear conversation around the table. The food was a bit off, for example the poached eggs were all over-done. Except for the noise, I'd give it another shot, as everyone has an off day.

There has been a lot of buzz about Chop Bar's move so I thought I'd check it out. I'd say not so good. VERY noisy!! Like a case study i how to design a restaurant that has a firecracker emoji for its noise symbol. Mildly engaged staff - at best. Unprofessional table service. Slow on delivering food order (many people seated after us got their food before us). The food was fine - but nothing to jump out of your chair for. All in all...mot impressed. Disappointing.

Please note: Chop Bar has moved across the street and down the block to 190-4th Street, a larger space. We had a wonderful dinner last night. Pork belly tacos were tasty and the smoked trout croquetas were delicious. My sea bass was perfectly done, my husband’s bavette steak was nicely medium with wonderful crunchy fries, and our daughter had their signature burger, which was deliciously messy as it should be. We each had a different glass of wine. The wine list is well-selected and not too large. Desserts included a classic banana split and a fabulous peach crisp with ice cream. Definitely worth a trip for a great meal in a neighborhood place with a fun vibe.

This is coming a little late but I wanted to take a moment to thank Linh for taking care of me on my wedding day. I don't think I could have trusted anyone else to ensure that I was looking my best. A couple of months before the wedding, during a trial, we talked about color, natural looks, and what I'd feel comfortable with. She cleaned up my brows and made suggestions for what would look best for my big day, including what kind of lashes would work best for me. Her consultation was really professional and made me feel comfortable. With her guidance, I ordered what she recommended and, of course, for my actual wedding day, I left everything at home instead of bringing them to the hotel!! Omg... thankfully, Linh had extras of everything I'd need. She made it work, including back up lashes, and told me not to panic. The customer service, preparedness, kindness, and care really helped to make my day go smoothly. I can't believe I blanked out on such important stuff, but she had me covered. She even helped one of my bridesmaids when that wasn't part of the original plan. I had a truly great day, and it helped to have Linh start my morning off right. Her comforting smile and calm demeanor was such a welcome. Thanks Linh!!

I just can't get over my experience with Lyn! Not only does she make you feel super comfortable right away, Her attention to detail is impeccable and you can tell she takes great pride in her work. If you have not had a chance to book with her, I suggest you do yourself a favor and treat yourself! She will teach you some very valuable make up tips when you book a make up lesson that will help you enhance your natural beauty for the night's you just want a little something extra. I have dark and thick brows. They are unruly and stubborn. But with the right hands and skill, they are one of my favorites features on myself. I've tried and gone to endless brow places (in the East Bay, SF and along the Peninsula) over the last ten years - tried everything from just tweezing, waxing and threading - some have been great, some have been not so great. But none have understood me and my brows like Lyn does. She has a knack and eye for natural beauty and seriously brings out the best in your features. My most recent brow experience before going to Lyn left my brows in a disastrous state. Too thin and uneven. As someone with thick and dark brows, it was truly an insecure and vulnerable place to be in. So, again, I was in search of my next brow person. I've always admired Lyn's work on Instagram, so was so excited to see that she was offering appointments again. I signed up for a 'Full Brow Transformation'. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, but I could not be happier with Lyn, the entire experience or how my brows turned out. The second picture is with my brows filled in, but even without them filled in, they look fantastic. Not only did she groom my brow with a threading technique she filled them in a way I have never seen before! The last time I threaded my eyebrows was about 2-3 years ago and I remember it being painful to the point it made me tear up. I'm not sure what Lyn did differently, but it didn't hurt as much as I remembered. She walked through every step of the brow transformation with me and every step had me SHOOK. The more she worked on my brows, the more I saw the potential in my brows, brow-tential??? Before filling in my brows, Lyn ASKKKEDDD me how I usually like my brows done (dark, light, natural). She didn't go running with how she wanted them to be done. She took into consideration my preferred brow style! I've always had a hard time filling in my brows, but Lyn gave me lots of tips and tricks that I'll now be using. And not only did she did she snatch my brows, she snatched my face with some light bronzer and blush. I initially wasn't going to do anything for the day, but once the brows were done, I needed to be out and doing things for everyone to see her work! I honestly am so happy with my brows and definitely trust with. She also has other services that I have yet to experience, but I believe that she is just as great. Other: Her booking is easy and quick! Something I really liked is that the booking app she uses will remind you the day before about the appointment -- I forget everything so this was helpful! Lyn is super sweet and nice. I felt very comfortable with her. I think this is very important because you don't want want to feel uncomfortable when someone is touching your precious brows! I came in on a Saturday morning at 11 am and got lucky to find street parking right across the street. If you come during a busy hour, try parking at the Jack London square public parking and scooter or walk over. By the time I left, there were many cars roaming around for parking. Overall: 5/5 rating!

I'm not a girly girl or too much into makeup, but I do believe in keeping one's self groomed. I always go to her to have my eye brows and upper lip threaded. She's great & quick! Whenever I do decided to get a little glammed up, Lyn really listens to me and understands what I want. I personally don't like the full-blow, Instagram look and told her I prefer something more simple and classic. She definitely catered to my wants and needs as opposed to just doing my face up however she feels. I truly feel like she works with you to create a look that's suited for you as opposed to forcing her own style or the current trends(unless that's what you want of course). The over all vibe of the area is clean, professional, and homey. Much like her! She keeps everything organized, acts very professional, but definitely still has a very open and welcoming personality! I can't wait to work with her again in the future!
