Good wine. pasta was sufficient. Wine Glasses were dirty. $20 for a bowl of boxed pasta felt overpriced.

Great food and some of the best brussel sprouts I've had! The ingredients taste fresh and full of quality. The hospitality is top notch, and it was wonderful to see how this is really a neighborhood spot--tons of regulars and friendly greetings. Totally dog friendly as well!

Great Italian food is harder to find in the Bay Area than other cuisines, but this place has GREAT Italian food. I would definitely recommend their burrata appetizer. And you can't go wrong with most of their pastas and entrees!

What a great service! What a great food! Five of us had a dinner at Filippo's last night. We all ordered different dishes and all of us were super happy with our food. Brussel sprouts, shishito peppers, burrata (with heirloom tomatoes), salmon, pasta, salads were all amazing! The service was prompt, caring, humble and with a smile (under the mask ?)Highly recommend this Oakland gem! ?

I recently had a mid-week dinner with friends/family at Filippo's. My family had not been there in many many years, but we we glad we returned. The food and service were great. There had been an ownership change since we were last there. The new (to us) owner, Gio, was our server, and you can sense the pride he takes in his place. He is very personable and knowledgeable about his food and wine. (He should be, right?) My wife loved the slow cooked pork with papardelle and my chicken picatta was excellent. I am admittedly a bit of a tiramisu snob, and it absolutely did not not disappoint. The group was similarly impressed, and we're going to make it a monthly thing. I am not a regular reviewer, but this little neighborhood spot deserves some legit props. The restaurant was full by about 7:30, so a reservation might be good idea since it was only a Wednesday night.

Love Filippo's, can't recommend it enough!!! We had an excellent meal - 10 of us, and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the bruschetta, meatballs, and chicken piccata especially! Gio is a wonderful owner who is attentive to his customers. This is a gem, and we'll be back soon!

Wonderful service! I loved the Bistro Ravioli. The host is a good sommelier as well.

A little slow, pricy, but good food. They've always had outside dining, and have indoor as well. The tiramisu hit the spot for pudding.

Stopped by while walking through the neighborhood. We didn’t know anything about the place. So glad we sat down and looked at the menu! Two glasses of very nice wine, yummy mussels and burrata, great and very friendly server, reasonable price. Unassuming, family run. We’ll be back!

We have dinner at least once a month and enjoy all dishes and the great service from Dona and the owner. We often have a party of 4-7 people so we have tried every dish. The salmon piccata, lasagna, seafood dishes are beautifully seasoned. It's Italian home supper for us which we try to have once a month! Barbara Anderson snd David Hunn
