Whoa it took a while...here is our story. Just retired on 10/19 from US Navy..road trip with my retired chief on 10/20..went to this place for bite to eat. Place was absolutely perfect, amazing people working there and food was great. We parked across street..literally across. Came back and someone broke into window..stole some stuff, somehow a person found it and returned it .. but some stuff were missing. This is outrageous..Rockridge CA used to be nice place to hang out and safe..guess nowhere is safe anymore. Hope they eventually catch thief or thieves. Have blessed day. Happy Veterans day!

This review and comment is just for one cocktail: the Rockridge Freshie. It was horrible. I think it was meant to be a shaken iced cocktail. There was a layer of unmelted small ice on the top, and you could see the lemon on one side. The whole thing wasn’t mixed. After my first sip, I re-read the menu, and I’m sure it was missing one of the ingredients. When I asked about it, they said, “I don’t like sweet things, but I can bring you one on the side.” I thought about it, it wasn’t just that; the whole cocktail was off. I make and drink cocktails, and this is the taste you get when someone first tries to make a cocktail. Just an off taste. A cocktail is an art of mixology, not like coffee where you can just add sugar on top. All the ingredients need to be carefully thought out and shaken or stirred together so they flow as one harmonious blend, not added separately on top or on the side. That’s the whole point of craft cocktails. so left it after two sips. no thank you!

Avoid at all costs! I ordered chicken wings and pizza from here that gave me food poisoning. Chicken wings were extremely dry and tough. Pizza lacked sauce and cheese which made it dry and crunchy. It was more like a flatbread than pizza. One of these got me sick and I've been stuck in the bathroom all day.

Great patio! So happy they moved to College Ave. The burgers is delicious and fries crispy. We had the zucchini as a starter, it's ok, but missing something. Maybe preserved lemon, balsamic drizzle, a smoked salt, something. Help with wine would be good too, both the rose and the chardonnay weren't good at all. But our gin drinks were perfect. Overall really good and a great spot for day dates with my bestie.

Wasn’t that impressed by the service. We got there at 7:10 on a Wednesday and asked to sit outside. There were loads of tables outside and they said they could only sit us at one particular table because they were closing early. It was a dirty table that hasn’t been wiped. We left at 8:30 and we kind of felt like they were trying to get us out. Seems like maybe they are trying to find their footing still after moving locations. Cheese curds are great though.

Great experience at Forge! We came in as a large group without a reservation and the woman at the bar (I didn’t get her name - but long hair), took amazing care off us with so much patience and kindness. She really went above and beyond.

Hit or miss. 3 weeks ago almost awesome luckily I had cash cause there registers and half of electrics went out when we were finishing, last night was a miss four unhappy customers..

We had a heater near us, but was only one not connected. Cold. Ordered cocktail had to remind staff of it. Arrived but took some time. Empty glasses of water, had to ask them for more. We only ordered three appetizers. They were all very yummy.

It’s a nice space and service is fine, but the food was not worth it. We got the baby gem salad and it lacked flavor and salt. Got the fat boy pizza which was better, but it was also not salted and small for $25. Overall not satisfying. There are better options on College Avenue.
We tried this new restaurant- it’s such a great space/location. Unfortunately none of us liked it at all. The burger and pizza were both really bad. We won’t be going back.

Burgers and salads were very good. Pizzas were mixed. Forge pepperoni was good, but the Margherita was bland with no need for a second slice. Service was friendly. We were there with a dog and an infant and found the patio seating very comfortable.
