So good! Found this spot when I was in the Town and craving a banh mi. I ordered the combo and a bbq pork. Both did not disappoint. Tastes super fresh - meat, veggies and bread were on par with b mi’s in SJ. I hope they continue to make amazing food like this. As long as they do, I will be a frequent customer. The East Bay needs more delicious Viet spots like this.

Yes, the place looks like a plain little cafeteria, but the food is out of this world, and legit in a regional way that I have not experienced before. Seriously. Cannot recommend highly enough. The juice blends alone are worth a trip out of your way.

Got the grilled chicken banh mi/vietnamese sandwich and it was excellent! Easily the best banh mi I've had, and it was only 10 bucks. I'm 100% going back here if I'm in Oakland again.
This place serves up excellent Vietnamese sandwiches, the kind that make you want to come back. Unfortunately, everything else makes you think twice. The surrounding area is rundown, with graffiti and frequent disturbances just outside. Inside, the cafe is no better: dirty tables, buzzing flies, and a staff that seems more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. During my visit, my order was “forgotten,” and I waited 15 minutes while others were served ahead of me. It’s a shame the service and atmosphere don’t live up to the quality of the food. With a little effort, this place could be a gem; instead, it’s a frustrating mixed bag.
