Their cheese fried chicken is so good !!! I prefer them over the soy ones.

As a Korean person, I love this place. The menu is small but everything is amazing! The half and half noodles are my favorite, best of both worlds! The Tang-Soo-Yuk and friend chicken is always made fresh, so it takes some time, but totally worth the wait. The honey and cheese fried chicken is so delicious that we order 2 and take 1 of them home. Reheats in the air fryer perfectly!!

Delicious food and wonderful customer service! Kimchi fried rice is to die for! Private parking lot makes it easy to run in and pick up your food or dine in. Thank you, we'll be back!

I've never eaten here, but I did catch the security guard taking food from the free fridge across the street. That food's for the needy! He actually hurried along a man that wanted food and there was broken auto glass in the road. For shame!!!Parking: Watch where you park! Broken auto glass on the street!

This was my first time getting Korean food in the East Bay and we ended up at Gangnam Jajang. We got the jjambbong, chili fried chicken, and jajangmyeon. The jjambbong was definitely flavorful, but the noddles were soggy and soaked up most of the soup. However, the flavor was still there. The jajangmyeon was a little bit bland and the noodle to sauce ratio was a little off (Prefer more sauce) but if you are craving this dish, it will still hit the spot. The fried chicken was my favorite. It was hot, crunchy, flavorful, and the chicken was moist. The only bad thing I can day is that the "medium" spice is not spicy at all, and some of the pieces had a lot of bone and batter. The service and ambiance was pretty basic. The server was definitely just there to do his job. The seating of the restaurant was not anything fancy either. This place is perfect for a chill lunch or dinner.

Been avoiding this one for years but I gave it a try after some years and new owner/management.Strictly about fried chicken (or fried foods) - which does say a lot about a kitchen.Maybe the tangsooyook is better. Skip the chicken (plain). Way too much salt in the batter, too much grease soaked in the batter (too hasty with frying with temperature not high enough). I could eat 2 pieces but no more.If you're adding sauce on the chicken, be prepared for sodium in your body.I'm sticking to Gangnam Tofu in El Cerrito for Fried chicken (although it was so much better pre-pandemic, it is still the best).

Best jjajangmyeon I've had in Bay Area so far!Gangnam Jajang is a small spot with under 10 tables but comes with all of the staples of a Korean Chinese restaurant. For noodles we ordered the jjajangmyeon and the gan jjajang. Both were delicious but we liked the jjajangmyeon more. We also ordered tangsuyuk (the small) which was good but not anything amazing. They serve the sauce on the side. We will probably try chicken next time.Compared to other Korean Chinese places I've been to, it's a bit on the slower end but overall worth it.

THE BEST!! SERVICE and FOOD was super crispy tansuyuk and gimari (fried seaweed rolls) Popcorn chicken is yangnam (sweet and spicy) described as a "2" and actually a "2". Jjajangmyeon (not pictured) also absolutely delicious. Order anything at this point I'm sure it'll be delicious! Love this place!

Gangnam Jajang has been on my to-try list after hearing about its affiliation with Gangnam Tofu in El Cerrito, which is one of my go-to's for Korean food. The restaurant is located in the Koryo Village strip mall, which has parking lot. Arriving at 3:40pm on a Saturday, the restaurant had only one other customer. With a total of about eight tables, the waitress invited us to sit anywhere we wanted. I asked her about any relationship with Gangnam Tofu and she said the chef was from the restaurant. The menu is simple with six myeon choices, fried rice, rice cake, fried dumpling, seafood roll and six fried chicken. Our order consisted of:Fried Dumpling - comes six to the order. The deep fried potstickers have a tasty pork and vegetable filling. Ja-Jang Myeon - one of their "best choice' items and it is one of my favorite dishes. Good sized portion that enough to share if you have other items. They provide shears for you to cut and shorten the length of the noodles. Tasty ja-jang with pork, cabbage, onions and zucchini and the noodles had a nice chew to them. Just wished the ja-jang sauce was a little thicker.Soy & Garlic Friend Chicken (small-7pcs) - nice sized pieces of chicken that were crispy with the right about of sauce coating it. Chicken was very moist. Delicious. You get some banchan of sweet pickled daikon, picked radish, kim chee and onion with ja-jang. The daikon was delish and we got refills of it. 4.5 stars. Though with a limited menu, food was very good with friendly service. Will be back when I have Korean food cravings.

My friend was in the mood for Korean food and recommended this place. It was really accessible using the bud to get here and the restaurant itself is a medium sized sit-down restaurant. They have a small, simple menu with noodles offered in different styles and fried chicken in various flavors. I ended up getting the black bean noodle and spicy seafood noodle combo and shared a 7 piece chicken with my friend. Price wise it was on the higher side but still appropriate with the portions we got. They also had delicious side dishes and condiments to help complement the meal. The food was rich and flavorful even though one could argue there are instant versions you can make at home. It still tasted fresh and I would go back here or maybe consider takeout. The service was fine and the staff was very attentive at refilling our water when the food got too hot or spicy. It's a very causal atmosphere where you can catch up with your friend over a nice hearty meal. I will come back if I'm in the mood for this type of food
