500 Stars!
Wow I love Gold Palm!! It’s fantastic! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. The drinks are amazing, easily some of the best I’ve had. The atmosphere is great, but seriously, the staff really stands out!!!They’re so attentive and kind. Highly recommend!

Might have been an off night, staff was amazing and nice, food was horrible
Chicken skewers were, VERY bland. Toasty “grilled cheese” was burned, no lots of flavor. Chicken samosa tasted like they were fried twice over.
Drinks were good. Very dissatisfied and disappointed esp coming from an Eater recommendation.

Freaking fantastic!! All things paired phenomenally together with the utmost care and concern for the patron!
Mani and Hasani and the staff are magnificent, skilled, and offer a comprehensive dinning experience !!!!!! Can’t wait to come back.

Great good, tasty cocktails. Love the size of everything, perfect for trying several options at once. The vibe in here is really cool. Lovely addition to the neighbourhood and Oakland.

We decided to try Gold Palm on opening night before seeing a show, having heard about it and loved the space when it was Palmetto.
My partner and I each had two different cocktails, so we were able to cover most of the cocktail menu, and four of the non-meat small plates (mushroom skewers, veggie samosas, cheese toastie, cucumber salad, and masala fries).
The cocktails were all 4.3 to 4.7 on my subjective scale, delicious and unpretentious, while thoughtfully sourced and purposefully crafted.
The food was also exceptional. The only ding I would give them is that the cost/amount ratio on the mushrooms seemed off. There are delicious and well crafted small plate mushroom dishes at bars throughout the Bay Area that give you much more food for your money. It’s possible there’s a particular reason why this one is different, but alas. The other four dishes we had were very good to divine, particular given their saucy accompaniments (their ranch is easily one of the best in the Bay, very dill forward).
If you like great cocktail programs and shareable small plates, it’s a must go.

Tasty Pakistani snacks, great drinks, including inventive n/a options, in the space formerly occupied by Palmetto and Flora. The team from Bar Shiru has brightened up the space and brought along their unique playlist.
