I am sensitive to salt and expressed this to the waitress, who spoke little English, but nodded her her understanding and followed through. Surprisingly everything came out perfectly prepared and super tasty. I used all the sauces that accompanied the dishes and found them delicious. Not many options in Oakland Chinatown these days but this is a good one. Dimsum in the morning, regular Chinese restaurant at night. Used to come every weekend for dimsum and host family dinners here from time to time. They have all the classic dishes I love. Takeout is also nice for those lazy days.

There may be fancier dim sum places with prices to match but we always go to Gourmet Delight first. Wonderful and authentic food, low price, simple setting, fast and kind service, just solid all around. They have all of your delicious dim sum favorites here, but they do a few things better than anyone, my favorite of which is the eggplant.
