I am SO glad I found this spot while walking to my car. I saw two girls walking up the stairs and that piqued my interest. Curiosity pays off!
I went around Thursday at 1PM and there were a few people who were there. It's a super small shop, where you just order and do pick up or takeout only. It's between the iconic murals and you gotta walk a bit downstairs.
Inside, they have a few selections, not too many but enough where you have variety and you can see that they specialize in this stuff. The staff (two girls) who worked there (shoutout to Demi) were really helpful and sweet! I decided to try three items.
1. Lake Merritt Special Cheesecake - 5/5 - This was so good, especially if you love chocolate. It has almonds, brownies, and drizzled with chocolate on a cheesecake. 2. Fat Boy - 5/5 - You're telling me this is banana pudding WITH peach cobbler? What an amazing combination and SO GOOD! 3. Apple Streusel Cheesecake - 100/5 - Apparently this is what got them started and MY GOODNESS, this was AMAZING. Love love love and I am a huge fan of apples.
Literally my favorite dessert spot... EVER! Absolutely delicious and you best bet I'll be going back!

The line was out the door. I was doing an UberEats Delivery and unfortunately couldn't try it out but a line out the door is a line out the door. The only suggestion I'd have is maybe Gregory could develop some protocols for the line because there was a black guy that was acting a fool when I tried to pass by to pick up my order. I'm a chill dude so let it go, he was hangry but that isn't anyone else's problem and he ought to have regulated his emotions better to support a black owned business because the smells are incredible and the talent is obvious. Gregory was a champ though. Friendly, happy to be making sales and noticed me right away and got me out of there and back on the road and seemed appreciative of what I was doing.
Simply amazing desserts. They do not hold back at all in terms of richness and taste. I love that they have a huge, ever-changing variety of items and I always want to try more. I love the pecan caramel cheesecake and the coconut cream pie. Can't wait to see what they make as the holidays come around!
The line can be long sometimes, it's pretty hit or miss, but it's definitely worth it if you need a sweet treat. It goes by quickly it just feels long because they only let one party in at a time (it's tiny inside, maximum dessert space.) So glad to have this in my neighborhood!

My wife bought a red velvet that was dry and I got a banana pudding nothing but small banana slice. I could taste the batter from the pudding it was nasty! It was also watery stell cookies. Food NOT GOOD WHY PEOPLE KEEP SAYING THEY ARE!! Oh and when we called the person that answered the phone said it's nothing they could do.

My wife and I brought a piece of red velvet cake and some banana pudding. Cake was dry and no moisture sad piece of cake I could have baked my own cake and been satisfied! The banana pudding was worst than the cake watery and no banana flavor and the cookies were stale! Never going back there.
