I don't get on this side of 13 very often but when I do I always stop at Grinders Submarine Sandwich Spot for an Amazing lunch!
I had just dropped off Pernod Leer's Warthog, Walter up at his compound atop Broadway Terrace, and thought I'd bop across hwy 13 for a Grinder, and it proved to be a great decision because my sandwich was Heroic in every sense of the word. ☆☆☆☆☆
The sandwich was average at best. The reason I’m giving this place a one star, is because all their chips being sold , are expired. Came back to let them know to I needed a replacement and the owner asked if they tasted good. I said no then he said I can grab another. No Bueno
Peter is amazing. The sandwiches are great. Strong recommend!!
Sandwich was great, but even so, it was too overpriced to get very often. Please make it more affordable and I will come back, but as is, I can’t spend 50 bucks on 2 sandwiches and chips
Life changing, best sub I’ve had in my life

Know what you want, be prepared, get in get out. Really enjoyed the ordering, no faffing about. Sandwich was solid, bread was good. Ingredients were a little underwhelming, but for the speed and price I'm not complaining. Big fan.

20 bucks for a 9 inch sando with avocado? Crazy. No prices listed anywhere… felt like a trap.
Perfect...if you like salt. Even when I specifically asked for no salt and pepper something in the filling was almost inedible for its saltiness. Service is slow and clumsy. He reads off the options rather than the customer picking them from a buffet (like Subway). Then we wait "ten minutes" while the sub is assembled. Easily 15 minutes to get a sub. And there is no atmosphere save storage room. Cases of drinks line the very very tiny closet that serves as the restaurant. And no dine in at all. Not recommended; Subway is just a couple blocks down the street, go there.
Parking: Parking on Antioch is limited (in fact they were putting up a "tow away" sign while I was there). The parking garage is two blocks away. The parking rates are very reasonable and they use ParkMobile that makes paying easy.

By far the most expensive sandwich I’ve ever had!! ? ? ? I thought $15 or $16 for a sandwich was expensive. But $31 dollars???? This is a one time mistake and I will not be back a second time. Save your time and hard earned money ?. It is not worth it! The place was a mess. Looked like a storage room. I peaked in and had to ask if they were open. I thought maybe they were closed and were in the process of restocking and cleaning up. This is the lowest rating I’ve ever given. I gave 2 stars for customer service due to the ladies that were making the sandwiches, they were nice. The sandwich ? was fine. But definitely not good enough to justify charging $31 including a soda. For $31 you can buy an XL pizza ? somewhere else and feed a whole family!! Not a fan of the tall skinny man there either. He might be the owner. I asked him for hand sanitizer, he wouldn’t even provide that! No apologies nothing! Everybody gives you hand sanitizer, it’s a basic necessity! I find him cunning. Just my opinion.

Really unique but delicious, traditional submarine sandwich place. Popped in on our drive home and was surprised when we walked into what felt like a closet. They definitely specialize in take away orders and quick pick ups, but they make a mean sandwich. you won’t find a regular menu, just be prepared to answer a lot of questions and you’ll get a high quality sub!

I keep trying this place because I want to believe they can make a good sandwich, but it is just so bad. The ingredients are basic and the sandwiches just don't taste good. That's the bottom line. Aside from that the ordering process is stupidly overwhelming. He speaks quickly to make it all speedy, but there are 100 questions coming at you at once, about every little thing. And at the end of the day, it's still not yummy. I'm finally going to give up.

A unique place that puts sandwiches and customization first. Make sure u order everything precisely and not get overcharged. If you need a quick grinder on the go, this is the place for you!
