I’ve been a loyal customer of Hancook for a long time and have even recommended it to others because their food is usually great. However, my recent experience was beyond disappointing. I ordered a bowl around 7 PM—well before their closing time at 9 PM—yet the food I received was made with no care at all.
The portion was lacking, with barely any meat, despite paying extra. I requested it to be spicy, but it wasn’t. I asked for cutlery and didn’t receive any. The menu stated there would be bean sprouts, but they were completely missing, and instead, my dish was just scattered with mushrooms. On top of that, the food was overly greasy and didn’t match the quality shown in their online pictures.
It’s frustrating because I’ve noticed a pattern—online orders are treated much worse than in-person ones. The quality, portion sizes, and attention to detail just aren’t the same. I’ve tolerated this long enough, but as a frequent customer who has paid extra for their food, I expected much better service and quality.
Also the spoon you see there isn’t from hancook. I had to look through a trash can to get it and the wash it off so I can eat this nonsense. I was just super hungry and I wasn’t at home.
This is nasty food I got and this is what I wanted, hope you can tell the difference. 😵💫

Worst cold noodles ever!! I ordered cold noodles, but all I got was a pile of ice, noodles, and a broth I couldn’t even drink. I’m from Asia, and even I’ve never had such a careless version of cold noodles before. It’s not cheap either. Why not put more effort into it? This will be my last visit to your restaurant.

As "creative" as Chipotle, they simply mix ingredients to make different dishes. Service was dislocated at best. The restroom was dirty, sticky floor and for handles, I wonder how they keep the food safe. Not coming back.

Our server was SUPER friendly and helpful in our ordering and overall service. They were not very busy, but she kept a eye on our table. And my Kim chee was kept full, yum.

Hot pot is the name of the game. Great AYCE and AYCD (Sapporo and hot house sake) specials. You can upgrade to premium options and order a la carte, as well. They have a self-service bar where you can pick your own vegetables, ssam, sauces, etc. Staff are attentive, but if you wish for faster service, press the button on your table whenever you're ready to order.

Restaurant is okay, food was decent. Staff is friendly, but service was extremely slow. We were the only customers at that time (along with a couple takeout orders) and waited pretty long before getting taken to our table and was not greeted at the door. Got the all you could eat hotpot, but not really sure if it’s really all you could eat, as staff never checked up on us, and we weren’t really sure how to order more as staff pretty much stayed up front the entire time. We just ended up eating one round and left. Atmosphere is nice, although parking is hard as there’s no parking in front of the restaurant or designated parking lot for this restaurant.

I was expecting this place to be better based off the reviews but it was just ok imo. The service was really slow but the meat quality was good. There wasn't that many hotpot options even with the premium menu. The blue crab was nice but they didn't have any fishballs with roe. The veggies are also limited, however, I do like that there is a self serve veggies and sauce station. The bbq meats were cooked to order which was really nice but most of the items were flavorless or just didn't have that much flavor.
