I've been coming here since I was a kid and I'm 45 now and don't live in CA anymore so I had to stop by. I seriously compare every burrito to this place and nothing tastes as good.
One of my favorite food places in Downtown Oakland. The baby burrito is a great deal - low price & a lot of food. Sweet ladies working the counter. Fast service even even very busy (weekday lunch hour - office people adore this place).

Food was excellent best ground beef tacos in Oakland steak was also good real steak cut up into cubes not shredded love this place but the lady taking orders was a lil rude not very welcoming

I have been going to Happy Burrito for years. It is a nice brisk walk from my current place of employment but very much worth the exercise. Besides I can then justify eating the whole burrito! Today was a Happy Burrito with carne asada. Very good burrito. I am a refried beans afficiando so I really dig their burritos. And for the price, you can beat their burritos anywhere in downtown Oakland. The ladies who run this place have been doing it for quite awhile. I find them charming in a viejita way. Very school vibes with them and their food. I highly recommend if you want an affordable meal in downtown Oakland
