No doubt the best donuts I've ever had. Great donuts and breakfast bagel sandwiches. Love this place. Every time I work in Oakland, I visit this place. Great people are working here, too. The only downside is that this is the only location, and they're closed on Sunday.

I woke up this morning and thought about the time I went here. I couldn't remember the name of this place and have been searching through Google Maps for an hour lol. I live in Los Angeles and was up in Downtown Oakland for work one time and stopped at Happy Donuts while I was there. I had the BEST breakfast croissant I've ever had in my life. I ended up ordering 2 more and had some kind of caramel drink and donut holes. 10/10 perfect. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES!
Very high quality and delicious ham and bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches (English muffin). Their strawberry shortcake donut has a beautiful crispy glaze with soft, chewy strawberry cakey goodness inside.

This is the place to go if you are looking for your favorite breakfast sandwich while 4 people stand behind a counter looking at you, only to not serve you. Then are kind enough to assist the person who walks in behind you Instantly. Just be sure not to be handicap or have any visible disabilities, or your business is clearly not wanted. Very disappointed to have once called this my favorite donut breakfast sandwich place by my home for the past year.

These guys are always busy during the morning rush (6:30AM-7:30AM) , because the DONUTS and coffees are SO GOOD! Made fresh in house. I’m telling you, they make the BEST BLT I have ever had. I told all my co workers about this, and now that’s all they order, lol! Please try it. Staff is so friendly which makes for a good positive start to your day. Enjoy! ?
