Happy Donuts makes the best breakfast sandwiches and donuts in Oakland. I've been to a lot of places for breakfast sandwiches, I specifically order a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. Happy Donuts makes it fresh every time. They also have a wide variety of donuts, some I've never seen before but can verify their deliciousness! The staff is always friendly and they get you in and out quick! If you come to Oakland or live here, you should swing by!

I had such an amazing experience at Happy Donut! I’m in town visiting and randomly asked a stranger for a good coffee spot and they recommended this place, and I’m so glad they did. The sheer act of kindness that led me here set the tone for what was to come.
When I had an issue with my Apple Pay, the gentleman helping me told me not to worry about it and to just come back and see them, that kind of trust and hospitality is rare these days. The coffee was fresh, the donut was absolutely delicious, and the entire experience left me smiling.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’ll definitely be back to support this business tenfold.

Called early in the morning because i was afraid they would sell out, and she held the vegan donuts for me until i could get there.
Purchased Vegan donuts, they are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! They are more like a cake donut and not a normal donut, but the icing is amazing. I am from the East Coast, so its difficult to find a donut that is vegan that also tastes good. Even my non vegan friends are enjoying the donuts!! My favorite was probably the blueberry one and i am a maple lover, but the blueberry was 10000000/10.
I paid $20 for 6 Vegan Donuts and two non vegan donuts (birthday cake, and blueberry)

Happy Donuts in downtown Oakland is way more than just donuts—it’s a whole vibe. Don’t sleep on their Iced Chai Latte. Honestly, it might be one of the best in the city and a total sleeper hit on the menu. You wouldn’t expect it to go so hard, but make no mistake: their drinks are every bit as good as their donuts.
Anything they’ve ever brewed for me has been spot on—perfectly sweet, balanced, and full of flavor. For me and my friend, Happy Donuts has turned into a sweet, memorable tradition—whether we’re celebrating something good or just gearing up to take on the day.
If you’re an Iced Chai fan, I can’t recommend enough trying it with oat milk (or any plant-based milk). It makes it so smooth, and the chai spices really shine without the heaviness or aftertaste of dairy.

I got the Apple Fritter and custard filled bar. My friend got an assortment including some vegan doughnuts. The Apple Fritter was great but the filling in the bar had an aftertaste that I wasn’t a fan of and the chocolate topping started melting off faster than I expected. The maple glazed old fashioned was super yummy and I think that’s what I’ll get when I go back. The people who ate the vegan ones were very pleased that they had them and really enjoyed the flavors. They also have a great variety of drinks and coffee.
