It's the best Chinese around these days without driving far. Excellent service but lacking in some flavor... You cover that up by requesting extra sweet and sour and you can enjoy the menu.

I'm a chef so I'm a food snob, but I'm used to New York Style Chinese food and I was addicted to that. West coast Chinese is whelming at best.

The best Peking Duck in the area.
They consistently cook their veggies the same on each of my visits.
Their food images mirrors the photos they have on site. This is my hidden gems in the area.

This restaurant remains take-only and that's just fine. The food is fresh, the service is timely, and I love their stir fried items,

They are very friendly. The food is DELICIOUS FRESH AND HOT SERVED TO ORDER. This place is a very cozy place to have a family dinner or to just pick up lunch. I recommend Happy garden to anyone in the Laurel neighborhood or anywhere.

Vegetarian options: Alot of their dishes are without meat. You can also ask them to make the dishes you want minus the meat aspect and they will.

Wheelchair accessibility: It is very wheelchair friendly. It's 1 floor with wide aisles and doors.

Yifu Wonton soup. Get it. It's amazing. We've tried a bunch of the regular food and it's also good, but we're here for the soup. Definitely our go-to Chinese restaurant now.Located on busy MacArthur boulevard but you can probably find street parking close by fairly easily. I believe they only offer takeout at this point.

Pot Stickers: traditional thick chewy skin, pork potstickers. They were awesome, very flavorful and savory with ginger and scallions resulting in yummy porky goodness.Chicken chow mein: Bad news first: hella bland, as-is it just had very little flavor. Good news: all the ingredients were cooked perfectly. Chicken was tender and high-quality; noodles weren't too tender/soft which ruins the entire dish for me. Surprisingly, the whole dish was easily saved by dumping an assload of soy sauce in there. After that, it was actually pretty good, I'd actually get it again. But I do wish they'd just up their savory/salty game on this dish directly.Service was friendly.I got take-away but I couldn't tell if they are actually seating ppl or it's takewaway only.

First time here, so I ordered a simple chicken fried rice for a quick lunch. It tasted terrible!A chinese restaurant that doesn't know how to make a simple fried rice dish is a big no-no for me. Definitely not coming back.

A very delicious place to get some food. Usually busy so call ahead. The only thing I would change is ask for Salt & Pepper Fish a bit more fried. Looking forward to trying more dishes from this place. Great price for portions! Ate here before for Dine in and the experience is also very nice. The orange chicken is good here too!Thank you to restaurant employees!?

Vegetarian options: Has a Vegi section, quite good.

You still aren't able to eat indoors. I liked this place before but not so much these days. Last visit, I literally tossed my food . Something was 'off' about it. However I like they have a fresh fish water tank with crab Also. Maybe the experience would be better if you could dine in.
