Hella lit. Great taste and awesome prices, the salt and pepper fries are delicious too. Very happy that West Oakland is getting some food joints, and not just more weed dispensaries.
Kid-friendliness: Kids were there after soccer practice/or a soccer game

It’s unfortunate that the ppl in the community can’t get a burger after 5:30pm🤷🏾♀️ most ppl work from 9am to 5pm… This place is geared towards a certain demographic 🤦🏾♀️

Definitely the best smashburger you can find anywhere in the East Bay. Reminiscent of some of the better LA smashburger spots. Fries were super crispy…fantastic. Line was long but it moved fast. Parking lot gets alittle weird cause some people parked however they wanted, but won’t deter me from going back. Great addition to West Oakland and the East Bay burger scene.

I've been hearing great things about this place and my friend went by and offered to pick me up something but unfortunately I'm a vegetarian for religious reasons and they don't have any plant-based alternatives yet. Would love if they had an impossible or beyond Burger, we live so close, we would go by there everyday!

One of the best burgers I've had in California! Worth the hype for sure. There was a huge crowd and a bit of a wait, but with a delicious payoff - the burger is absolutely delicious, with nice crispy edges like a good smashburger should have, but a juicy, flavorful patty throughout. I consider myself a bit of a burger snob, so believe me when I say, this is a classic, perfect American smashed burger. The bun, the cheese, and the meat all work perfectly. I didn't get a shake, but the fries were solid - a little salty for my preference, but I like them on the less salted side and everyone else in my party loved them. As the business grows, it would be awesome to see different custom styles of fries - garlic, cheese, or animal style, etc - but the regular ones were a great complement to the burger.
The space is bright and the decor is really artistic and engaging to look at. One note: If you're going in March 2025, just remember the business is NEW and working out kinks! They were clearly still getting their bearings as a new restaurant when I visited (and very adeptly dealing with huge crowd and line out the door, so kudos to staff on their efforts!) If you visit, be prepared for a long wait and potential snags (for instance, while I was there something in their ability to make shakes went down, but they quickly responded and recovered). This is to be expected when opening a new business that's facing huge crowds, and a little patience and understanding from customers can go a long way in setting them up for success long term. Super excited for Hyphy Burger to stick around and hopefully grow!

This place is amazing. The food was made to order and was great. Can't beat a good smash burger. Love that they have a no carb option.

Lines were long. It took 15 minutes to order and 36 more minutes for my food. We ordered a Hyphy Burger and a Burnout Burger and the flavors were ok. The fries were old and soggy (we threw them away). The shakes are soft serve ice cream with cereal churned in them. We had Oreo and Cinnamon Toast Crunch and they were mediocre (we threw them away). We ate immediately in our car.
Dining room management needs improvement, it's hard to know the progress of your order or hear your name or number being called. The floor behind the counter and in the dinning room were dirty.
We may try again in a few months, but currently, the wait times, fries, and shakes don't make it worth waiting 50 minutes for burgers.

Bruh they're not even really open yet. Get there early because THEY'RE NOT READY for huge AF crowds. The line may be out the door, get ready for a 45 minute + wait FR. but. But, is worth it. Both burgers are worth it. Trust.

It's worth the wait! Seriously, the best quality and flavor I've had in the East Bay in a very long time. I eat here atleast once a week since they opened!
