We as Latinx folks have to hold our own accountable for the ignorance they may portray. Today, I went to Jack in the box and encountered a situation where the only black staff member was disregarded and disrespected by a Latina staff member and was told to cálmate “mija” when she expressed her feelings to the other staff member.
