The food was DELICIOUS!! As a Jamaican, its so hard finding Jamaican spots that are authentic but Flavas get my stamp of approval. I got festival as well and it was nice and fluffy. The only complaint I have was that I ordered on the site and they were having problems so I waited a little long for my food but other than that, their food is great.

Tried Flavas Jamaican Grill (Oakland) for the first time (via UberEats) a couple of days ago and have since ordered twice! I was very impressed by the flavor, presentation and sustainable packaging — the food travels well. I ordered the Jerk Chicken wings (with jerk sauce on the side), Rice & Beans (peas), Codfish Fritters, Plantains, and Mac n Cheese and everything was delicious… consistent to taste. A part of my family line is Jamaican and even though I didn’t grow up in the culture, there’s definitely a sense of “home” and comfort while eating my fritters, and especially the plantains, and rice & peas. Followed up with a Ting! Touched my heart!

The only item I wasn’t a fan of was the Jamaican patty from my first order. It was a nice size, but the meat filling was a tad underwhelming (visually/texture wise) compared to Jamaican Patties with beef I’ve tried in the past. I may try again because I’ve seen review photos that look more promising. Overall all, I enjoyed my meals and am a satisfied customer.

I had the j*** chicken plate. The chicken was amazing! Spicy and grilled perfectly. The sides are so good too! My friend had the curried goat and loved it.

Waited for my food for one hour just to be told the cook isn’t t in the kitchen and no one knows where she went

This Flavas Jamaican Grill is situated in a ghost kitchen establishment. Don't wait too long to pick up your order it could get cold. Best enjoyed hot call the restaurant when you arrive or check in at the kiosk . It doesn't offer seating or dining in options. But what it lacks in ambiance is greatly overshadowed by the terrific Flavas of Flavas. The Jerk Chicken is so we'll seasoned , with the perfect hint of hot. Plantains are always made just right with that subtle crisp around the outside. They have the secret recipe for their rice and peas combo. It's soft, and creamy tasting cooked to perfection. Flavas is an absolute must for those seeking that trip to Jamaica on the ship of their taste buds. Yah Mon!

I usually only eat at the location in the city (SF) but I tried the ital plate after someone told me they had a location in Oakland. I'm not certain what happened but it tasted as if someone dumped a pound of salt in my food...I had already reached home when I tried it. I was so disappointed.

If this review were only for the SF location it would definitely be 5 stars

We just ordered take out from this place. Being from the east coast, I've had the pleasure of enjoying aunthentic Jamaican cuisine all my life. I hadn't found true Jamaican food on the west side until now. The food was flavorful and delicious!! We will definitely be ordering again!

First time in Oakland traveling from Los Angeles as New York City natives, Brooklyn Stand Up!

We ordered the Curry Goat w/ Rice & Peas on the side.

It was delicious?! Felt like being in Brooklyn or the Bronx.
Nice to finally find authentic Jamaican food, black owned business on the West Side??.
