One of the few places still selling actual catfish instead of scamming. The older couple that runs it are super sweet. Great service and hot crispy fish every single time. Will continue to visit.

Small mom and pops shop on Fruitvale across from 3 star. This is a black owned business! An older elderly couple seems to own and operate the establishment which is wore down and only for to-go orders. Fried fish and crinkle cut fries (seem to be out the bag) and kind of soggy. The day I came they ran out of prawns, oysters, and select fish (very annoying for a place that only sells these items). I had basa filets which didn't taste fresh and just weren't more than mediocre at best

The spot is literally a grab n go. I got a little prison vibes from the ambiance bit The folks here couldn't be any nicer, POC's and family owned. The good: the customer service is on point! I ordered the prawns which were super freaks and large. The bad: They used bisquick batter . I was not a fan and there was a lack of that southern seasoning and crunch I was looking for. The ugly: the neighborhood isn't the best, literally a huge memorial set up for the business owner at the Filipino restaurant across the street. It was sad to see.

I got the 333 combo with three fried oysters, three fried shrimp, and three pieces of fried catfish. Everything was cooked PERFECTLY! Moist and tender meat with a crispy crust. Absolutely classic. The combo was a lot of food! It came with Louisiana style hot sauce, tartar sauce, and ketchup, as well as plenty of fries.Service was cheerful and very friendly. There isn't any seating, so it's really take-out only.The one minor criticism I have is that the fries were pretty mediocre, but they really aren't the main attraction here anyway.

*THE REAL DEAL* I have eaten here and each time with high expectations and they do not disappoint. Friendly staff always go above and beyond to treat you like they been waiting all day to make your plate. I am looking forward to the next one...man I'm headed there now forreal-forreal!

The prices are as good as the food. Long standing rep in Oakland and I like that the food taste like they just arrived from Gulfport. I also like the prawns and oysters its fire! The fish is on that super bowl party, fight-night level. My next catering event or just a weekend of no cooking I'm there, cause I know what I'm getting. I enjoy the atmosphere as well as the staff. Oakland rooted.
The owner is super sweet and the food is amazing. My family is from the South and this is exactly how everyone makes their fried fish. It truly tastes like home. Plus the prices are so reasonable.

Nice folks, and great variety of fish plates to choose from. Fresh and delicious with the fry just right, tasting just like home, the tasty sides go well with all the fish, including oysters. great they are open most nights until 9:00 or after (if they are busy).

Small mom and pops shop located in Oakland off of Fruitvale. Customer service was nice looked like a wife and husband. Wife cooking, husband taking orders on the night we came in. They were out of a few items as we did come in pretty late. I believe we ordered 2 egg rolls, fried shrimp with fries and catfish with fries. Our food did manage to get cold as my cars battery died and while we waited for a friend to give us a jump we were both so annoyed we didn't think to eat in car while food was still hot. We got home, sat to eat.. Fries were done for.. too cold and everyone knows you can't reheat fries it just isn't possible. The fried shrimp has wayyyy too much batter on them. Enough to clog my arteries... the catfish wasn't seasoned very well. I don't think this place was my cup of tea but I get the concept. May not be mine, could be yours though! I definitely support them and recommend others to give them a try! I believe it's cash only as well!
