The food here is the best Japanese food in Oakland. The service is excellent. The ambiance is very soothing. I love this place.

Got a roll for takeout and it was good - wouldn't rush to come back but would come back when convenient. Prices are reasonable and the quality is slightly better than your Whole Foods/grocery store sushi Outdoor seating available

This was our first pickup dining experience. We and our family were very disappointed with the garlic edamame and Kakiage Tempura. We selected these appetizers to get acquainted with this restaurant. Unfortunately, our wait was 20 minutes late. This was impactful in the quality of these appetizers. While waiting inside the restaurant, it was very cold at 5:25 pm. The front door was open. Not certain if we will return!

Judoku is super hype. We went on a Saturday night and it was packed, but it was so worth it.They have an incredible selection of rolls that were all out of this world. If you're into Chicken Karaage, that was also delicious and juicy. We didn't sit outside, but they have a nice outdoor area as well!Highly recommend!

Just had lunch here with a friend today. Food was good but service was not on point today. Not sure if it was just an off day for them or what. The service: very amateur and rookie level to say the least. Not trying to be mean. Our server was very friendly but she lacked attention to detail and doesn't listen very well. I ordered a Lion Ling Roll to start as an appetizer. I specifically told her bring this first. She said ok. I then ordered a bento box for my main lunch entree. What comes out first? My bento box entree lol. Then after about 7 minutes my roll comes out. So naturally I send it back. Not going to eat my appetizer while I'm in the middle of eating my main dish. Then after about another 3 minutes my friend's main entree comes out. I don't understand why so many Asian restaurants do this. Especially in the Bay. They bring one entree at a time. Like 5-6 minutes apart. Sometimes as much as 10 minutes. The point is that we go in to dine together. Bring the entrees at the exact same time. It's not that hard. I appreciate how they substituted the fish for my friend due to her cancer and special diet. So one star for that. But service could be a little more attentive. Water and hot tea refills should have been a little sooner as we started our main courses. The food was so so. My box was nothing special. Simple and hot. No complaints other than there should be more Tonkatsu sauce with the dish. The edamame was good. Portions were generous. My friend loved her bowl. Fresh white fish and fresh veggies in her bowl. Outdoor seating was plentiful and it wasn't busy on this Monday afternoon.

Ordered Chirashi via DoorDash delivery. Not sure what's going on with this place. I got fish skin chopped up in tiny pieces (no rice) for $35. Disappointed.

Always fresh, delicious and very reasonable. Wide assortment of sushi rolls and many other options including vegetarian. We go for Friday afternoon lunches. Great selections for their Bento Boxes and Yoshime our server is excellent. They have a comfortable outdoor seating area and fun to be in the Rockridge area.

Five stars for the spicy ramen! Yes, the menu is sushi centric but the ramen was spectacular . I don't eat pork and perceived a very large piece of pork as a mushroom. I accidentally ate pork! Just a little nibble...and i have to say, it was delicious.

I ate at Judoku recently and chose to sit outside. I was craving some udon and decided to get the Seafood Udon. The noodle had a good consistency and the flavor of the broth felt very comforting. There was also a LOT of stuff in the bowl, including onions, lettuce, and carrots (whaaaat?!?!). Yes, these vegetables are rarely found in udon, and while it made my udon heartier, I felt like there was way too much of it. I suppose the upside was that I was able to save about half of it as leftovers for the next day (albeit in a plastic to-go container). One of the servers was nice about me using my own utensils. As they brought the eating utensils and menu outside to our table, I said I didn't need their chopsticks (because I had brought my own), and they obliged while still giving me a napkin (which worked out since I didn't bring one of my own). ECO NOTES (Dine-In) Dine-In Dishware: Reusable bowl and metal cups for water Napkins: Single-use disposable paper napkins Utensils: Reusable spoon plus disposable wooden chopsticks

This place is exactly what you would expect clea and casual but not too pricy. Service is decent. I'm a simple girl so I get the spider roll. Miso soup is also really good.

The chefs just don't know how to roll sushi. The rolls were a complete mess. THERE WAS A BONE IN MY SUSHI ROLL! Completely unforgivable. The ginger tasted old. The rolls came out like 10 mins apart each. There was one server running around to a bunch of tables while 2 other women and a man just hung out inside doing takeout orders. I wanted this place to be our regular spot but it's just not up to par.

The best! Consistently high quality fish & delicious, creative rolls! My new favorite place!

Oof, make sure you double check the location before leaving! This is their 2nd location, a lot smaller, but still good food and service. I had a heavy late lunch filled with carbs and didn't want to over do it. I ordered the geisha roll which does not have rice. This dish was beautiful, light, and fresh. Of course I couldn't help but try some of the other rolls my friend had ordered. Loved the hot sake as well. Good service =)
