DoorDash order, got paneer kadai, butter paneer, and a mango lassi. The kadai was overly salted and lacked onion. Overall food was okay.

Fancied Indian food, specifically lots of vegan curried vegetables, and Kavya came so close to being great, but it needs some adaptations for me to want to eat from there again. We ordered the vegan biryani, curry, pakoras, poppadoms and a naan. A portion of plain rice came free, which was a rare treat. Sadly the biryani and curry were almost inedibly salty. Like, heartburn before I'd finished eating. I couldn't finish my food! The spice and vegetable combinations tasted authentically Indian to me, having been fortunate to travel in India and having great Indian culture back in Britain, but here they got overwhelmed by lip-drying amounts of salt. Salt is a seasoning, not a flavour. The pakoras were a little stringy and so didn't break into smaller pieces easily to dip into the tamarind and mint sauces. Should note that the tamarind sauce was really thin and bland and likely watered down. The mint one was yummy though. The poppadoms were burnt, but it was nice to see them on a menu.As a takeout-only spot I'd say they need to use compostable containers as they must waste so much plastic sending their food out.So disappointing. Was hoping this could be my Indian food go-to, but alas my heart cannot tolerate Kavya's sodium attack.

I've noticed a decline in quality from Kavya in the 6 or so times I've ordered in the last year, and the most recent time this week will be the last time.I remember the food being better a year ago, but the quality of the dishes and accuracy of order fulfillment has gotten worse. Instead of two orders of the naan we wanted, we got two different kinds of naan we didn't ask for. The chicken korma had three chunks of chicken, but they were bony, veiny pieces of dark meat so there wasn't much protein there. The veggie korma was a little better but both kormas didn't seem well-prepared, they were just salt flavored. It's safe to say we gave them a fair shot, but this food, which comes from a ghost kitchen, isn't worth nearly what it costs.

I ordered chicken momos through Uber Eats but there were a few veg momos instead of chicken.

The food was good. My only complaint about the food was that the vegetable curry had way too many carrots and very little potatoes and eggplant. I also thought the prices were a little high, comparable to a sit down restaurant, when they do not provide a place to sit or servers. They are also not paying what a regular restaurant pays for rent. Given this, I expected that some of the price savings would be passed on to the customer.p

Very good service, good menu … not overly extensive. Food was very good quality all around. They know how to prepare curry and briyani which is a top-notch. Prices were reasonable. They have the best appetizers. Everybody should try thier dumplings. Perfect ghost kitchen in Oakland.Vegetarian options: Yes and also vegan options!Parking: Parking was easy, just right around the corner.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

Spicy! It doesn't give you an option, or ask, for your spice level preference. It's also strange that they would provide a creamy sauce that appears of dairy to an order that's vegan. Also wish they had more vegan options. It's average, run of the mill, Indian food.

After waiting for an hour they cancelled my order! It was confirmed, they said they were on the way, and then cancelled. I called in to ask why and they hung up on me. Just called back again a second time and hung up on again. So disappointed and hungry:(
