I love Kinfolk! It’s such a community base space and it feels like it based upon the seating arrangements and the large options for comfortable places to work/get coffee! I got the hot chocolate, which was good, nothing special though! I mainly enjoy this space because it feels so justice and community oriented :) the staff are always very friendly and I love the artwork up!!!

This place is always jumping whenever I go. Lots of seating but usually occupied. Coffee is always good and strong and they have a good selection of breakfast bites. Better chance of getting a seat early in the morning during the week rather than the weekend. Good for them tho

I love the avocado toast and matcha latte! Kinfolx gives DC vibes. I feel home as soon as I walk-in. I appreciate all the staff ! They are always so kind to me. I appreciate one of the owners. He is so down to earth and kind.

Also, I accidentally yeeted almost all of my iced latte across the room & onto the floor. The amazing staff helped do almost all of the cleanup AND made me another drink. I fully expected to walk out of there drinkless with my tail between my legs, but the staff were so kind and thoughtful.
WILL BE RETURNING WITH A SQUAD. This place exemplifies why Oakland is the spiritual heart of the East Bay 💗

love the location and interior and all but the background music (not the live events) is always so loud which is such a contrast to the vibe they seem to want to curate. sometimes I can barely hear the person I’m trying to have a conversation with :(

PS - lively = loud but not in a bad way. It a big space and it's full of people. People are loud.
Vibes were immaculate, the drink I got was not. I got an iced kinfolx latte which has cinnamon, nutmeg , brown sugar and organge zest. I couldn’t taste any of that. The espresso was very very strong so if that’s your thing you will like it!
But the vibes and the baristas were great!

Great atmosphere and staff. The place has a good study/chill and meet up vibe. It host and array of events in the evenings and on the weekends. A must come and see. Overall I always enjoy myself, even when its crowded. My only complaint is that the lunch sandwiches are lacking, the vegan sandwich I had was pretty much all bread. It had a very thin layer of hummus, small slice of tomato and a few baby spinach leafs. Taste was bland. It was not worth the price. Otherwise their breakfast sandwiches are good and other items.

Cool space, if you are going for vibes and coffee then disregard this review, it seems great. For working, its very annoying, their Wifi network configuration is extremely restrictive and blocks access to tons of standard websites (ie: reddit, my healthcare provider, my email service, etc). 0/5stars for workability, might as well not even have the wifi.
