Stumbled on this place by chance and I'm SO glad I did! They specialize in Korean Fried Chicken, but also sell burgers, fried rice, and additional sides. Service was impeccable!! The owner was incredibly nice, informative, and personable. This is a mom&pop shop, so please come out and support local businesses! Plenty of parking in the area. They also doordash if you cannot physically come in person! Fried Chicken Rating - SIZE: It's not as big as the thighs and drumsticks you'd get from Popeyes/Jollibees. HOWEVER, there is a LOT of meat per piece of chicken, so I would not categorize it as small/average by any means. (8.5/10) - SKIN/BATTER: The best I've ever had in terms of texture. I've had a lot of fried chicken from different cultures, and this tops them. Of course, it depends on your preference, but if you like the following description of it, you need to come here! It is not heavily battered, not fatty, and evenly seasoned. Every bite I took sounded like an ASMR video. It is light, crispy, crunchy, and has integrity! It will not flake off so easily, and even if it does, it will not "crumble" like some of the other places do. (100000/10) - MEAT: Super juicy and tender! Sometimes when I bit into a certain part of the piece, it would fall off the bone. Wild. The chicken was very fresh and I was pleasantly surprised by how moist it was considering how crispy the outside was. Outstanding! (11/10) - TASTE: They served the chicken with sauce on the side. I'm not sure if they toss it for you if requested, but they did ask me if I wanted my sauce on the side and I said yes. The chicken alone is lightly seasoned and delicious. I personally think a little salt and pepper sprinkled on the chicken would elevate it. (8.5/10) - SAUCE: I ordered soy garlic. It was a bit lighter than some of the soy garlic flavors I've had, but still sweet. It was chilled, which I actually liked because it allowed me to bite into the piping hot chicken without burning myself. Not sure if the sauce elevates the chicken, but it tasted good with or without it. Highly recommend ordering the sauce on the side to maintain the texture of the chicken if you are not eating it quickly. (7/10 because I'm not a saucey girl). Overall Chicken rating: 9.5/10. Looking forward to bringing my friends here!

I had the teriyaki chicken and it was way better than any one else who serves this dish in a restaurant. So so good. Can't wait to try other dishes. Safe parking and area is gated. Highly recommend

Great little mom & pop chicken place in Jingletown. As far as we could tell everything is made to order. The chicken is really good and crunchy. Very hospitable

Took me 15 minutes to take 14 pieces home and they were still deliciously crunchy. Great if you're craving KFC

Okay, if you haven't tried this place out yet, you're missing out so hard it's not even funny. Yes, from the outside it doesnt look like much. You have to go around through the gate to get to the parking lot, but there's always plenty of parking. Looks aside, just order the chicken. Trust. I've had many, many korean fried chicken places up and down California and all over Korea. Forget any other place you've had. Once you try the chicken and sauces here, it's the only place you'll be thinking about. As a SoCal native, I literally dream about this place at least once a week. I'm making this a *must* stop any time I'm in the bay area. Other than the fact that they only use young, fresh chicken and do some serious brining to get that juicy, tender goodness. THEIR SAUCES!!! I seriously don't know which one I like the most. Try them all. You can't lose. Anyway, s/o to the adorable Korean couple that runs this place together. They're both super sweet and give amazing service and deserve all the support!

I never leave reviews but I love this place so much I want them to have all of the five star ratings. Their chicken is SOO so incredibly delicious, it's cooked perfectly, it's tender, juicy, and the batter is AMAZING and so crispy. I'm not joking when I say I'll randomly think about this chicken throughout the day, it's that good. Their burgers are great too, but the chicken is my favorite. To top it all off, the owners are the nicest people in the world which just makes it that much better. You have to try this place!!

Excellent Korean Fried Chicken. Lightly fried with excellent flavor and sauce. Glad I found this place. It's a little hidden and the friend chicken takes a minute, but it was soooo good

It is one of the most serendipitous experience in my recent memory to find parking next to this Korean chicken joint. Hungry late afternoon after a zine fest nearby, we decided to stop by this small kitchen to get some fried chicken katsu. The experience felt like a home-cooked meal served by the most hospitable folks running the kitchen. Their fried chicken katsu was light, crispy, yet was very juicy-a dish in other restaurants that would tend to be too dry. They then delighted us with 2-piece fried chicken on the house, and this was so well done! The chicken was crispy with house-blended seasoning and juicy, 48-h marinated thighs. Definitely recommend this up and coming restaurant if you're in the area! Now only if they opened an SF location would this become a local favorite for me.

Best fried chicken and hamburgers at good prices! We found KoKo Korean Chicken cafe on our way to the Pearl Jam concert at the Oakland Arena. We originally were just looking for a strong cup of coffee! The customer service was outstanding with an offer of a sample piece of chicken! They are not a coffee making place but the owner said he would make us his Korean coffee recipe. He did and it was so delicious and a nice change of pace from French roast! But the fried chicken and sauce! OMG! Delicious and the best fried chicken that it's my new favorite for sure! We also ordered the hamburger and it was you best burger that you can get at a cafe! It is gourmet at your standard burger price! The ingredients are fresh and Korean style tasty! I can't say enough about KoKo's and the welcome of the owners! Go check it out and support your local businesses instead of your chain restaurants. You will be most happy you did!
