One of the best Hand roll restaurants in Oakland. The prices for individual items was very reasonable. The portions were perfect and the staff was doing extra extra extra extra extra . Can’t wait to come back!

Lovely perfect little date night spot. Service was pleasant and attentive. Loved watching them work but most importantly the food was amazing. Our favorite was the blue fin tuna but the hand rolls were so good we kept ordering more

I have experienced many different types of sushi hand roll bars and this is one of my new favorites. The location is perfect , right in the heart of Jack London Square and the food was amazing. They have some really cool drinks if you’re into content creation and overall it’s just a cool place to catch up or go for date night !!!

I had high hopes for this hand roll spot in Oakland, but overall, the experience was pretty underwhelming. The food is very average, and a lot of it seems like it's just pre-made items that you can easily pick up at a Japanese market or wholesaler. The seaweed salad, wasabi octopus, and ankimo all tasted like they were store-bought, not freshly made in-house.

To make matters worse, the seaweed on the rolls was wet and soft, completely lacking the crisp texture you'd expect. For the price, I was expecting much higher quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to that. If you're paying a premium, you expect fresh, unique dishes, not things you could grab off a shelf at a market. Not worth it for what they charge.

It felt more like a cheap American sushi roll place trying to act like trendy and high end dining.

Not recommended at all, very amateur

Sushi was good, and the caviar was quite tasty!

I was so excited to try their Yuzu cheesecake but it is WAY too small. $6 for such a tiny slice… it should be $3.

I've been here a few times now, and I'm sure I'll be a regular customer going forward. The menu is small but specialized and very delicious. The resturant itself is also small (note, no bathroom) but it has a very sleek and welcoming vibe. Impeccable service.

Vegetarian options: The menu overall is small so there are only 3 veggies handrolls, but they are all delicious. You can certainly have a filling, delicious, healthy vegetarian meal here even though there isn't a lot of variety.

the handrolls are good but the variety is limited. I would love to see them add saba, tobiko, and other fishier options.

their small plates are much more interesting and creative. we had the fatty tuna belly, yum.

the Pandan Creme Brulee is also amazing

My wife and I tried Kuidaore for Saturday lunch and had multiple hand rolls and small plates. Everything was exceptionally fresh and well presented. The scallops small plate, shiitake hand roll and eel hand roll really stood out. Our waitperson, Pla, (pardon me if I got this wrong) was extremely friendly and helpful. Roy was working the bar and explained everything when we needed help. Kitchen staff was also excellent. We liked it so much we went back for lunch on Sunday. We plan on going back as much as we can!
