What a nice little shop, glad I live so close by. It wasn't until I dropped in to shop some options that I found that La Faine offers such a spread of delicious goods to buy that I couldn't help myself but nearly get one of every! The service was really friendly and helpful if I had questions. Also, I loved the walk-in atmosphere of the shop.
Delicious
La Farine bakeries are among the 3 places I always come back to. Everything is fresh and delicious. So on the one hand I'm really happy with what I bought, on the other hand I bought a *lot* and ate it all 🫣. Gotta admit though, it's worth it!
La Farine is a quintessential neighborhood bakery specializing in freshly made breads and pastries. Similar to its name, the interior has a French flair to it. The staff is helpful and the variety is quite good. It could become a go-to bakery for you.
Great cakes and pastries!
Fabulous fruit tarts!
Love going the for the Frangeline and chocolate croissants and fruit tarts!
Our amazing neighborhood bakery and patisserie has excellent pastries and sourdough breads. The folks who were there are lovely. We love La Farine.

The one item I enjoy here is consistently sold out before i can get to them in the morning.
It’s pretty annoying. For the most part I stopped coming here because of it. You’d think they could learn from the pattern and adjust. Only an issue with this location for me.

The savory morning bun was one of their jewels. Unfortunately, recently in 2024 they changed the recipe to reduce the ham bits which also made it less savory. The bun would absorb flavors throughout the bread. Instead of being savory, it is now just white flavorless bread. Gotta find a new spot for a truly savory morning bun. It was so delicious while it lasted. RIP Savory bun

Feel free to try to prove me wrong, but this bakery is the best in the Bay Area. Everything from their bread to tarts and sandwiches are all top notch.

They advertised they have cannoli. They do not.
Their morning buttons are pretty spectacular. Most of the other stuff is OK. Resent the tip issue as you do a walk up to order something and they literally just put something in a bag and hand it to you. Supposed to be 15% or higher… Always wonder why we don’t have to tip at McDonald’s who do the same thing, put something in the bag and hand it to you
Used to be amazing. Not so much anymore.

The customer service is terrible, and the pastries were stale and hard. This bakery use to be better.
