I ordered the chicken noodle and tomato soup to be delivered. The soup was very good, but the bread was NOT sour dough as expected, it was a cut in half hoagie roll...yuk! This was a HUGE disappointment as I only eat sourdough or dark rye bread. Esp in the bay area where Sourdough is the go to. You need to serve what you say you have. This kind of stuff drives me crazy. It is as if the customer is not going to know...not good!
The chicken you receive in your salad is 4 pieces. No butter for bread. Profitablly is high.

Do not waste your money here at all. I just spent $17 dollars on a salad that had only 4 small dices of chicken. The soup itself was just milk and salt. There are better places near here, subway might even be better than this establishment. The inside of the restaurant is so outdated and the food is poor quality so how are they justifying the prices. Twelve dollars maybe but seventeen dollars you’re basically saying “we don’t care, they’ll pay anyway”Please folks trust me its not worth your money. The team was nice though.

Good healthy lunch option if you order the right things. Grain bowls (pico kale) are super filling and nutritious for a low cost.

I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and I got tomato soup with chicken chunks. No tortillas or chips, and definitely not what they described with the garnishes. I wanted this to be my new healthy lunch spot but they failed at owning up to what they say they are serving.

I would not recommend this spot. I'm not sure if they are not washing their vegetables well enough or what, but I've spent an afternoon in in the bathroom after getting a salad from here. ☹️I've had soups from here before and they are decent, served with a nice sourdough slice.
Yummy and healthy!

I love this place, I thought that I would eat there everyday, until my Latino friend moved. I went in there alone and the service was terrible. It was as if they wanted me to leave. I left and the Asian woman behind me left, they were rude. a Latino came in and two people rushed to help her, and the Asian woman and myself just looked at each other and left. Now I know why the store on Clay street in Oakland is always empty. I know that I will never go in there again, at least not in the Latino store in Oakland, CA.
Expensive, but good quality food, served hot. good for lunch , crowded.
Wow!!’ Excellent Customer Service. Bilingual,Super Delicious the Food , clean and FAST
Refuses to toss take out salads. No idea why they wont listen to their customer. Won't bother ordering from here.
Ladle and leaf has a good system for providing service. In addition they provide a decent general product. In my opinion they're a bit stingy towards items allowed in a salad without an extra fee (4). Adding items that aren't a dairy product (egg) or meet (chicken) include costs that seem unnecessary. I'd like it if they added an additional 4 ingredient for two bucks vs 1.25 per item for a general salad.
