This place is so chill. Such a great vibe. The staff are super friendly. Great hookah and great food. Recommended.
So happy we found this place. Excellent authentic food and great service. It was peak time and obviously they were busy and it took a bit of time which is totally understandable. I prefer to wait a bit for freshly made food and the staff were so apologetic and friendly. They also have ice cream which is a great desert option - certainly for the kids. And they give you a huge scoops!!!
Great food and super nice owner. He saw my toddler daughter was a little upset from a conversation with me earlier and went out of his way to cheer her up. We will be back!
Freakin’ amazing. World class. Didn’t feel like I was in America. The food was easy 10/10. BUT THE DESSERT! Baklava was insaaaane. Ice cream was a hittt. Owner is in store and you can tell because of attention to detail. The atmosphere, details, music and even the bathroom were perfeeect. Can’t wait to be back!
Unfortunately, This place has really gone down hill, as we used to love it. It's been a year or so since our last takeout. The interior now smells like smoke. The plates are overloaded with mediocre rice, and lite on everything else. The lamb kabobs were overcooked and tough and the restaurant forgot to include any hummus. Seriously, what middle eastern spot skimps on the hummus, it's like a staple of the meal. We were very disappointed in the quality of the meal, especially given how much they are charging for the plates now. Unfortunately the quality and service are just not there anymore... Unless they improve, Add this to the list of any other lower to mediocre, overpriced middle eastern spots in the bay area. Not worth the time or money considering the abundance of other better options in Oakland/Berkeley.
I recently dined at a Middle Eastern restaurant and was blown away by the delectable flavors, diverse menu options, and the vibrant ambiance that transported me to another world. From the moment I stepped inside, the inviting aroma of Middle Eastern spices enveloped me, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. The rhythmic beats and soulful tunes added an authentic touch to the atmosphere, complementing the flavors of the cuisine and immersing me in the rich cultural experience. The Philly cheese steak was a true delight, combining the best of Middle Eastern and American flavors. The perfectly cooked beef, oozing with melted cheese, transported my taste buds to new heights of satisfaction. It was evident that attention to detail and quality ingredients were at the forefront of every dish.To complete my gastronomic journey, I indulged in the baklava—a traditional Middle Eastern dessert that surpassed all expectations. Each bite was a symphony of textures and sweetness, leaving me with a lingering sense of contentment. The service was top-notch, with the staff exhibiting a genuine passion for their cuisine. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. If you're seeking an authentic Middle Eastern culinary adventure, look no further. Delicious food. Halal burgers are just.... ? So good! I've tried many of their dishes and never disappointed. Their shisha is excellent and never burns. The staff are all really nice and provide excellent service.
Amazing food and service. My family and I loved everything we ordered. Highly recommend the chicken shawrma plate! Can’t wait to visit again!
This place is amazing. The best part was the awesome service but everything absolutely perfect.Great food options - and good portions, super smooth smoke, and a whole freezer of ice cream options. They're also gonna start late nite until 4am soon. The vibe was great, the crowd was chill and I had an awesome time. You should come thru!
The owner of this place is so cool and nice. I think the hookah that he makes is delicious, and I really love the fresh hummus as well. I come here a lot, and you should too.

This place is sooo good!!Middle Eastern cuisine has always intrigued me with its exotic flavors, aromatic spices, and rich culinary traditions. Recently, I had the pleasure of trying this fascinating culinary world, and I must say, it was a delightful journey for my taste buds. I have returned multiple times in the last two weeks and have tried multiple dishes. Their shrimp plate and beef shawarma are a must try!Ramzi the owner is great people.Definitely come check Layalina out.
The gyro fries and shrimp plate were fantastic. Great atmosphere, fun place to eat. The service is excellent. Great portions for the price. Came for lunch and had a good time with my family. Parking is gonna be a challenge, but it is worth it.

For $24 not worth it.Got a chicken shawarma plate, came without hummus and in a disposable paper plate.Taste was okish. I love Middle Eastern food and this would not be in my top 10 at all.Guess they spent all money on interior, not on food quality and presentation
I came here based on great reviews and I was not disappointed. The service was excellent. The food was tasty, my husband ate the Gyro platter. He liked the delicious spices the food had and how they cubed the meat, he only wished he ordered more meat and less rice. I had a veggie platter which was tasty. Now, what really blew my mind was their Turkish delights. Extremely tasty and flavorful. And YES, Ramsey, the best baklava we have ever tasted. It was a perfect dessert, just the right amount of sweetness, fresh, crunchy and light, not so heavy on the butter yet perfectly moist. The other desserts were just as tasty. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you for the delightful food you cooked for the community.
I love this place. I been coming here since the very beginning and the food just gets better. I came in early yesterday right when they opened and didn't know what to order and the owner suggested Yemeni breakfast, it was amazing, and also what i love about this place is that they will make you what ever u want that isn't on the menu or if you don"t know what you want they will make u something that ends up being delicious. I will be back next month for the breakfast again.
