Went out 10/25/24. The bartender refused to give me Water. I’m on Medication for a Chronic Disease and get extremely dehydrated. I was about to pass out it was extremely hot, with no ventilation in the smoke filled building, and I was wearing a costume. In all my years I’ve never been refused water at the bar. Security and ticket lady were at least professional enough to give me a blank stare when I mentioned the water as if I said nothing. Also 15$ to get in and it’s like 2 sections. My Auntie Advice is Go Somewhere Else.

I’m only speaking about the food - not the physical restaurant or staff interaction. I had it delivered. I gave it a try because I had the taste for oxtail. So I ordered oxtail & a $5 beef patty. The patty was ok. Not as flaky & flavorful as I would’ve like & the price was a little higher than I’m used to but it wasn’t bad. I wouldn’t mind trying their chicken one.The oxtail, however, was not to my liking at all to the point where I didn’t even bother finishing them. The oxtail had a layer of fatty film that made it weird to eat nor was it as tender as what I’m used to. Lastly, they tasted like they had a somewhat sweet taste/aroma to them which threw me for a loop. The same subtly sweet taste/aroma was on the rice & peas which I did not find pleasing.All in all, I’m not their target audience when it comes to this cuisine and that’s ok. Give them a chance for yourselves.

One day I ordered the Escovitch fish and it was amazingly delicious! The portion was substantial (served with seasoned rice, sauteed cabbage and plantains) and the price was good. The next day, I went to the location and we ordered it again!The atmosphere was interesting as it looked to be under construction. The pictures on the web must be from a different location. No partying there for sure.We're looking forward to ordering other dishes.?

A perfect place to spend time with friends, excellent drinks... they just have to make changes to the DJ and the bands they hire because the same thing and the same songs get boring but from there everything is perfect
